Ah, the dangers of a two-edged sword. Carking, dear soul, I was selling computers when Jack Tramiel built the first Vic-20 in the back of his typewriter shop in Toronto. Never saw a crank on one, but I've seen several attached to the keyboards. What you have to understand is that that broadsword you keep swinging cuts both ways. If you don't like the opinions we keep expressing, you have an off switch, too, and you can cancel your membership just as easily. There's no need to be hostile about it. We just don't happen to agree with you. There is a distinct difference between pornography and prostitution. Check the dictionary.

While I’m here, let me copy this: though it comes from another thread, it is so applicable here that it should be posted as a mast at the top of this page. It’s probably the wisest paragraph ever posted on this forum.

It comes from the Yank and is not about the difference between pornography and prostitution. It does however, apply, with infinite wisdom to this debate.


But while there is a segment who will protest this kind of scene, there is also a segment who will spend their dollars on these demeaning degrading scenes, so who is right? I personally can get aroused by certain kinds of verbal domination directed towards me, but I can also understand why someone else would be highly offended by that kind of talk. Right and wrong are often very difficult to discern.

Oh, and just to clear things up - the last time we talked, which was last week about cowboy hats, Tyler's 'hoo-haw' was still firmly attached where it belonged and Logan had at least a dozen pairs of freshly laundered undies. What Marky or vintage or whoever ended up with was a sheet and some undies but not a hoo-haw, a hee-haw, a foo-faw, or even a pee-paw for their money. They didn't get to touch anything. It was all scratch and sniff. And that's the difference between the auctions and the pimping. I hope that's clear.

I am quickly (or not so quickly) learning that many on this forum don't understand the difference between hostility and sarcasm. I don't get hostile. When one gets hostile, it demeans them and degenerates the discussion. Sometimes, I play Devil's advocate and throw something out to see if I can get a discussion started. Sometimes, I simply say something off the wall just to get people to stop and think.

I have never threatened to cancel my membership, nor do I have any intentions of doing so. Not only do I enjoy the scenes, I desire to continue to support this site so that it can continue to bring me the type of adult entertainment I enjoy. If you have followed any of my other posts, I am an advocate of positive reinforecment. I try to say what I think is right with the site in hopes of encouraging more of the same. I don't believe (and this is only my opinion, so don't take this as an attack) in telling someone don't do this or don't do that. Instead of telling my kids, "Don't run", I would always tell them "Walk." Positive, not negative.

That doesn't mean that you aren't free to voice your opinions. By all means, that is what this forum is for. But, I can voice mine, too.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines prostitution as, "the act or practice of engaging in sex acts for hire." By its very definition, performing in pornography is indeed prostitution. So, where do you draw the line? I think that each of us has to define that line for themself.

At any rate, aquarius, the broadsword is swinging back in your direction. Why is it OK for others to voice their opinions, just not me? If that sounded patronizing, I suggest you read your first paragraph. Let's agree to disagree. I don't agree with some of your opinions, but I will fight to my death your right to voice them. Please show me the same respect.

As a side note, I would bet that tonight at midnight, more members will be watching this scene that any in a long, long time. I would venture to say that it may even set a record if Broke Straight Boys has a way of tracking it. And, perhaps, that was their goal all along.

Dear soul, don't take offense. I was merely pointing out that that blade cuts two ways. All arguments do. As to your concern for people not getting your sarcasm - try announcing it beforehand instead of after. After always makes it sound like an excuse.

Why didn't you complete your argument? The American Heritage Dictionary does indeed define prostitution the way you said. It also defines pornography as: Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal. The presentation or production of this material.

I think people react hostilely when told their position has no value and to express it is going against the best interests of the majority. But, in the interests of democracy, it can be said anyway and you'll fight for their right to say it. For more than a decade I’ve been neighbors with Dick Cheney – it’s sounds a lot like him.

I'm not going any further with this. I only meant to state my opinion. But I must say, the forum has certainly become much more civilized of late. That's nice.

I'm still undecided about watching tonight. The May 9, 2009 episode where Stephen lost his virginity to Jordan was one of the hottest episodes of all times. Stephen, that beautiful intelligent young man, came to Broke Straight Boys for that purpose and, oh, did he enjoy it! But he didn’t check into the D&E Hotel and book a room with one from column a and two from column b and leave a credit card at the front desk for a deposit. Now, whether or not that happened with Dylan is all speculation, but that speculation is going all over the web right now. As to my tone, I think it was an effort to mimic the old Siskel and Ebert arguments - Roger, Roger, Roger. It was an attempt to be clever that missed its mark and for that I have the deepest regrets. I had no intention of generating turmoil. You're right, sir, I do not know you. And you do not know me. I am 67 years old, my thirteenth book will be published in six weeks, I have taught since 1965, my husband of 40 years died in January, we raised 3 sons together, I speak English, French, German and Cherokee, my students teach from UCLA to Columbia and have written nearly 200 books on everything from O'Neil to the Civil War, they are in the movies, on television and, yes, a couple work in porn - so I think I do get it. I'm just sorry I wasn't articulate enough to be less offensive. I didn't intend to be. jon, since you called me babes and sent kisses it's invidious of me to quibble about your characterization of my opinion on the whole Dylan thing. I said more or less that I was willing to suspend my intuitive disbelief on this one since D. was coming across as fairly authentic. It also doesn't seem all that farfetched that something like this might happen. I email with one guy, a member, who's in conversation with David regarding it's possibly happening sometime soon.

But after seeing the second scene, with Dylan's Choice, I am a) either pretty impressed in retrospect with the ability of D. to feign inexperience and virginity in his solo given his expertise in the duo, or b) less inclined to suspend my disbelief.

Jon, I think that we loyal forumites all agree that this is a wonderful site, but I think that we should enjoy it for what it is. It is porn entertainment, a place to see hot young, apparently straight boys get naked for a bunch of gay or bi curious guys, and some women who enjoy watching "boy on boy" action.

I would suggest that you not worry about what is truth and what are lies here. I believe that we should save that kind of concern for the oil leak in the Gulf, or the Arizona law about providing papers on demand, if your skin is a different shade than the governor's, or the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, or the situation in the middle east with Israel and the Arab nations. To me this is a place to loosen my pants, use my right hand for stimulation and enjoy the action on my computer screen, whether is truth, fiction, or a mixture of the two, (which is what I personally believe about this, my favorite Internet web site).

I think Slimvintage hit the nail on the head with his opening post. While reading the story before watching the scene,I was not sure how I felt. But, after watching it, I feel it's a new twist that will be fun to watch. It's a bit daring to make this kind of exception to the premise of the site, but we all continue to ask for something a bit different. So thanks to David for being willing to take this chance. As for Dylan, he's a pretty hot young guy and appears to have the 'fire in the belly.' Can't wait to see him teamed with his favorite models.

I agree with you about the fire in his belly it just needs to go on down a little more and invade his cock. He couldn't keep it rock hard for the shoot like Shane did. That Shane, wow, what a guy.

Well I've just watched Dylan's solo and duo with Shane back to back and I'm very impressed. If this scenario is all a sham and Dylan is acting the part, then he deserves an oscar, but I do know that you Americans do produce good young actors lol.

I thought the duo was very hot indeed and surpased some of the Broke Straight Boys duos we've had. I hope Shane was telling the truth in the end when he said that the shoot was hot as it was very nice of him to say so and probably made Dylan's day.

The Leeds jury is out whether the story is authentic - my fantasy world hopes it is but my reality world thinks it is not.
