I had a colonoscopy this morning, Does that mean I lost my virginity? Dam it the Dr. Told me I have colon cancer. The creater has put a lot on my plate in the last year, but with my faith in him and the love and support of my famliy and friends I will overcome this latest stumbling block.

You are definitely taking the right attitude, both in being a bit jokey about your virginity and in recognizing the awesome and clinically proven curative power that belief in the force for good emanating from family, friends (and of course Creator's) support, provides in cancer cases.

You can be sure that everyone on this forum is thinking of you as well man. I'm guessing that you got in early for an exam, and that the doc has given you an optimistic prognosis. But the best way to beat it is the way you have started.

Sending a lot of love your way mister.

While the creator allows challenges to come into our lives, if we put our faith in Him he will give us the strenghth to get through them. True friends and family will be there for you as you face this problem.

I successfully won a long life threatening health battle and I would be more than willing to talk with you if you want.

I will keep you in my prayers.

First off, you are added to my prayer list. Both my mother and my partner's mother had colon cancer and made recoveries. (Both have passed away since then, but from issues in no way connected to the colon cancer.)

Secondly I am kind of in awe that you brought your news here. I have been suspecting that this online community has become a type of happily dysfunctional family and this goes to confirm that. I think I can safely speak for many here that you have a support network here.

Keep your hopes up and take care of yourself,

Dear I269,

It so sorry to hear that you are facing cancer. Please know that however dysfunctional this "family" here may be that we do care for one another. We will be here for you either in the open forum or in PM's to give you encouragement, possibly advice if it's asked for, or just a symapthetic ear. You are already in my prayers.

You seem to have a really good attitude towards this. With good care, support of family and friends, and of course your faith in the creator, this too shall pass. Please take care of yourself with a good nutritious diet so you can be as physically strong as possible before taking the plunge. And gird yourself mentally and emotionally for what lies ahead. We'll be here for you I269! Best of luck to you.

Hugs,

tampa24

The creator, God, the universe, the good, the Great Spirit or whomever you may hold dear will see you thru if you continue to have hope and that great sense of humor.

The creator doesn't send anything our direction we can't handle, the only problem is that the creator's estimation of our abilities and own own estimation are usually radically different!

Take charge of your health. Become knowledgeable about your situation. Challenge your Doctor to explain anything you don't understand. Be a part of your treatment team. I was supposed to be dead in 1991. As you can see, the medical establishment was wrong about me. I operate on all those items. As well as a few other morsels:

1. Trust is earned, not conferred by a white lab coat.
2. The patient is part of the team.
3. Nothing gets put into or withdrawn from my body without my prior consent.

Talk it over with your doctor. Some can handle it, others can't. If yours can't, get a new doctor.

I will send love and strength to you every night. Please don't forget to say thank you in the morning when you get up and at night when you go to bed as each day is a blessing.

Be well. If I can do anything for you, please let me know......

Your brother in light and love,

Jayce

I will follow these step's to the letter. Thank you! And yeh this is part of my dysfunctional family. lol

I am glad that we forumites can be your family as support is important. But I have found in cases like this that you may need to support your "family" until they can support you!!! It's weird that way.

BTW You don't have to follow anything to the letter. Take what you like and leave the rest. Put your own stamp on anything you do, YOU are unique and special.

Check and see if there is a support group in your area, it's always good to know you are not alone.......

Love you!

Jayce

Well, I went to the Doc yesterday and he said we caught the cancer in the early stage, thank you creator, he said the best thing to do is cut out 1/3 of my colon (the right side) and rejoin it with the small intestine. I'm waiting on the 2nd opinion. He said he thinks I won't need cemo. I have all my apendages crossed. . I will let you guy's and gal's now what's next.

You will be in my thoughts and my prayers. Bless you dear sir.
Thank you Denver, I am also praying for you, I am sure you will over come your low spirite's. With fond affection my dear friend.

How to stop worrying and love your colonscope!

I am in awe of your ability to laugh i2, for even though the doctor has given you an excellent prognosis, he cannot remove from you one of the most dreaded procedures known to medicine. Having had a similiar scare a few years back and three years of semi-annual colonscopic checkups, my best friend gave me this advice: name the instrument then close your eyes and focus on that name. I called mine Hugh Jackman. Apparently my friend forgot to tell me to warn the doctor because from the moment they knocked me out until I woke up, I kept calling out "Hugh." The doctor said it was quite disconcerting.

You are now a permanent part of my family's prayers, dear sir, and we shall call out your name to God each evening until you are through this ordeal.

With love and knishes
