Is being curious a tool of invasion of privacy? hmm, tricky isn't it? However, As I See It, the question of whether "our" (Broke Straight Boys)boys are also doing escort work is totally relevant because it is relative to the nature of "our" boys' "profession". They get paid to have sex for public viewing. It can be safely assumed that they were not coerced or under duress when they appeared infront of the camera and took directions from Clay,et al. And if they accepted monetary compensation to have sex - and notably "gay" sex -since they are "str8", for thousands of people to watch , (maybe even over and over), the question/curiosity or even for some - the assumption that they do escort work is RELEVANT/NATURAL/LOGICAL. Were "our" boys are concerned -( it also being the premise of our site; BROKE Str8 Boys-"str8 boys doing gay porn for money" ), the bottom line will always be money. If they can justify doing gay porn for money for many to see, they can easily justify doing escort work because it is a private arrangement . And some "boys" might even charge a higher price because of the "cache" of being or having been a model. The member ( is it Frontier?) who created this poll/thread simply thought-out-loud what i believe almost all of us have wondered about. Now, having said all that, I do not claim "yes" (some) of our boys here @ Broke Straight Boys do escort work, but yes i won't be surprised if they do AND I have no negative judgement towards them. In most cases btw, escort work is legitmate ( remember ads for escorting in the weekly/free magz?) or am i just NAIVE ? i do not understand the many oppositions to the polling. as others said, it is a generic question. The issue of prostitution is one which leaps to mind. An escort of course can be someone who simply offers one's company in a nonsexual context in exchange for a fee. Similarly a person who performs on a website whether sexually or not is an actor. But there is a grey area which can be crossed. I do not think it is an invasion of privacy if one knows for a fact that a particular person provide escort service and informs others of that fact. But speculation as to whether a person does or does not do so is simply that speculation and essentially useless.

Some porn actors do in fact supplement their income by providing escort services and some do not. Some websites have very strict policies on what they allow their actors to do or not do. I have no information as to what rules or regulations that Broke Straight Boys has for its actors. About a year ago I did some revisions to a contract for a friend of mine who employs actors for a website. That contract specifically provided that actors were not allowed to use drugs prior to or to possess and/or on the location of any photo shoots. It did not forbid the actors from engaging in escort services outside of their employment with the company The contract did specifically state that the employer did not require, expect or endorse any such activity as escorting as a condition of employment but that was designed to prevent any accusation of pandering.

Now I haven’t voted yet because I’m still undecided. Personally, I would never consider selling myself in that fashion. That being said I must say that I do not consider this industry along the lines of having sex for money like many might. Ironically I will take my clothes off on camera but never will you see me anywhere else lacking even a tee shirt. companionship, good company can sometimes have real value. some people are worth paying for their time, others are worth paying for their services. they are not the same thing. (unless you make them the same thing). do performers bargain their time? why not? i would think most guys have relationship back home that would make selling your body to strangers uncomfortable and even unsafe.

Well Jason I agree and disagree. Yes there are older gay men who would enjoy the company of an attractive male for dinner and companionship and be more than will to pay all expenses involved, however, I seriously doubt any "functional" gay male would expect or accept it to end there.
