I don't have numbers and I can't speak for that. Jay is correct that the forum was booming back in the day. I can't speak about if membership is up or down since I don't have those numbers. I can only tell you the feedback I get from members that don't participate on this board.

I still chat on occasion with many ex-members. Their feedback is that Broke Straight Boys has changed so much and they don't like the changes and prefer to see "real straight boys" having gay sex and don't like the new format. The ex-members were active on this forum but don't like Broke Straight Boys as it is today, which has nothing to do with this forum.

The other feedback I get is from current members that have reached out to me either on Twitter or Facebook, privately and they just don't like the comments from the current members that post here on this forum so they are members, they enjoy the models and the changes but they are not here for the forum, just to watch the porn.

This is just a handful of guys that I talk to and it doesn't justify the full membership. I think what Jay wrote is correct, many are lazy to sign up again for the forum but I like to add that the majority of the members will leave scene comments on the video and that is it, and that doesn't reflect the full membership. I think the majority of the members that watch Broke Straight Boys, just watch it, get their "rocks off" and move on to other sites they just enjoy the actual sex between two hot guys and I don't think they really care about the theme of the site or if the model filmed for another site prior or afterward, I don't think most members or people that watch porn really go into a forensic investigation regarding a model and their whereabouts....its just porn.

Here, I agree with you. When younger and in great health Broke Straight Boys satisfied my porn needs. I spent my other free time outside. That perhaps reflects what many Broke Straight Boys members do. I do agree no one has the right to make personal attack, just critisize respectfully but please speak up & again no one should ever personally attack fellow members or players. If they find a player is not stating the truth point it out in a tactful way. I suppose instead of using the word liar one could say the facts don't agree with his statements. Or his actions do not seem to be consistent with a novice player as two example.

I try not to complain about past experience because I expect it but Lord knows I have done my share of complaining in the past about it because I took a lot of it personally at the time. I was PISSED about Charles Owens and Kace Axel at the time and if you look at the ratings, Kace has always remained on the first page of highest rated models which indicates most members didn’t care. I do understand where GWTW is coming from because I have been there along with KGMETS. There is something hot about watching a model bottom for the first time and when you find out it wasn’t it is a huge let down. Look at Malik Delgaty and Finn Harding on Men.com. They ONLY topped, and when it was announced last year that both were going to bottom for the first time and with each other, I’m sure the site gained a lot of members for those two scenes alone. It was a big deal.
I don’t think anyone here is pissed at anyone else. There is frustration and is understandable and will always pass.

Where it is the same is that a member can say exactly what he can say on the Forum. The point is there is communication. What is aaid between members is a different thing and some sites have that , such as Bel Ami While not the same as here, members do say things to each other when writing on a scene.. However, yes Broke Straight Boys is unique. And, the fact I have been a member of Broke Straight Boys from the first year tells you something of how I value this site.

Completely agree, that's the bottom line! And I hope that Ricky Bobby stays! If he just stated in his interview, "I'm here because Broke Straight Boys treats its models with more respect than the first studio I tried", that would have been the truth and would have been fine. The truth is the way to go, and the members appreciate that.

Totally agree! Doing that is not the problem, it's lying about it thereafter that is offensive to the members of the new site lied to. There is a lot of truth in more ways than one to the "The truth shall set you free" saying, and the flip side to that in this age of the internet is that "your lies shall catch up to you!"

I agree with you both. The Broke Straight Boys forum should primarily be utilized to discuss our models and scenes. And while things got a bit heated, it was all about one of our guys. And that pleases me greatly.

So much was said on this thread yesterday, and this quote by David resonates with me. I have stated many times that the folks who I’m still in touch with from the “old days” have no interest in the current porn presented on the site. When David returned as director, he attempted to recreate the old formula, but was over-ruled by management. I guess you cannot put the genie back in the bottle, or put Humpty Dumpty back together again. lol

There are a few who remain active on the forum and only Peter seems to still enjoy the current porn. I like some guys like Nico and Chris who are hot, but it is not the same vibe as the original concept. If you got off to a scene like this one, how can you also get off to today’s pansexual guys who kiss and rim?



We had a few old forumites return, briefly, like JoeLipps and Abush11 but after saying hello to me and Tampa and Peter and David, they quickly left as today’s site has nothing to do with Broke Straight Boys-1 or even the earlier days of Broke Straight Boys-2 with Clay’s filming with guys like Bobby, Jimmy, and into Adam, Ronan Kennedy, Paul & Johnny Forza.

I’m not complaining as times change, porn tastes change, but I appreciate David corroborating my saying that fans from the old days are mostly no longer on the site as it is not your daddy’s Broke Straight Boys I will stay as long as there is a forum with all of our old conversations intact. I’m glad that Jay has taken the time to read some of the old threads where we had up to thirty active members commenting on a regular basis here. I still love the archives and having this forum to state my views and interests on. Thank you Mark for that.
