Did another one bite the dust?

It seems that 2010 has been the year of the killed off paysites. It started with amateurstraightguys.com (they've since come back in a different format under new ownership), and it seems possible that perhaps www.straightcollegemen.com is going through troubling times.

They have not updated the site since November 3, and have announced that due to lack of interest, they will no longer be featuring the (boring) "audition" solo jack off scenes.

Personally, SCM has always been one of my least favorite sites I still continue to frequent periodically...but I've always kept hoping they would begin to improve themselves. Unfortunately, they never have.

I'm wondering if they might be going out of business. Rumor has it that members who have complained about the lack of updates have received a response from customer service stating that "Matt is taking his usual pre-holiday down time", and that he is "relocating the office", but often-times those types of announcements are pre-cursors that the site is struggling.

Has anyone heard anything?

If you are interested in completely limp dicks throughout the duration of every scene, and the guys being made to play non sexual kiddie games before they attempt to do sexual things with each other, and having to listen to "Matt" the director/producer/site owner talking non-stop through each and every scene (not in a fun, and often-times funny way like David does here on Broke Straight Boys), then I suggest you try it out.

Personally, I've been very disappointed each and every time I've signed up for the site. Broke Straight Boys is 10 times funner and hotter than Straight College Men could ever be.

Well Straight College Men is also not a cheap site. They play with the pricing a lot, sometimes they offer it for like $29.95 a month but yet other times they charge like $43.95 per month...NO bonus sites...and often times they don't update with a so called "action" scene (more than one model doing a solo jack off "audition" scene) more than once a month.

So if you demand many updates, and variety in the way of hot bonus sites, Straight College Men has always been a very poor value for your buck.

They are also known for HORRENDOUS customer service. I can tell you from first hand experience that all the Blu Media sites always provide top notch customer service, which is very important to me.

If there was a consumer reports for gay porn sites, Straight College Men would likely rate among the worst sites out there.

Getting straight guys to do gay sex is a difficult endeavor even when the money is good. I applaud whatever site that tries to get real straight men to cater to our pleasure. But just because you get straight men doesn't mean they will do a good performance. It's like panning for gold - you'll have to pan a ton of sand till you get that gold nugget or flake.
