Well being a member on Active Duty as well as here I have to say I was embarrassed to not have noticed his work there. of course I immediately went to AD and looked to see how much work he had done which had been released - one scene made last May. But it does bode well for his future work here. As for this not being his first rodeo, that is true but then again I think I will forgive him in this case. Finally with regard to Blu-Media, they may or may not have known about the other work or simply did not care. he has a good look and obviously has the right equipment for the job.

Dink is pretty close mouthed about his models but I doubt he was aware of Dakota's day job. While he pays pretty well for the market, he is also not one for allowing his models a lot of leeway in extra curricular activities. He has in the past let guys go when he found out they were stripping or doing sex work. I know this from a couple of his former models who praised him as a human being but said that he did have an "issue" about that. So it is possible that Dakota was given his walking papers over at AD when Dink found out he was stripping.

I don't see it as a matter of sexual harassment personally, although others might. It is probably a matter of personal taste. I do not see the director/cameraman as an extension of myself or the audience. I see him as someone hired to produce, in this case, porn which appeals to me. His interjecting himself into the scene physically, not only interrupts the sightline of the scene, but also whatever fantasy I might be conjuring up psychologically and/or emotionally. Moreover, one might expect to see this type of thing on those cheap, fly-by-night amateur and/or so-called reality sites, but not here. Admittedly, Broke Straight Boys is not Falcon Studios. But it is, in the web porn business, a class operation and I want to see the models perform not the director. I didn't like it when David did it either, and he went even further as you alluded. No problem Stowe. My formal title with BluMedia is COO, being in charge of operations has many different hats as I am sure that you are well aware. With the departure of the past director we felt it necessary that my position be more "hands on" with the selection process of the models as well as the direction of the product. Although I am well aware that I don't always have the answers or solutions to every problem, I do know that I am very attentive and I believe in the product that we put out as I share the same visions that Mark does for the future of the company. The benefit that we have now under the new director is that we work more cohesively as a team to make sure that we bring the best product to everyone as we possibly can. This has been an interesting few months but I can tell you on this end we do believe that everything continues to move forward in the right direction.

This, along with Mark's post about Johnny Forza's leaving on that thread, represents an openness to explain what's going on with the site, that has heretofore been rarely observed. Obviously, there are things which must not be discussed for business, personnel, or other reasons, but I truly hope that these two responses from management represent a desire by management to be more open with the members within the parameters mentioned.

Yes, I'm more than familiar with the COO function given my professional business career in the corporate world. And from what you describe, it is exactly what Broke Straight Boys needs. BluMedia is growing and the CEO/Owner can't be involved in every day-to-day management decision. I understand that point quite well. I have known a large number of couples in my life, gay and straight. It always has amazed me as to the amount of variation in the way couples handle the issue of extra-mural assignations. Dakota tells us his wife is aware of his work activities and I have met others who did stripping or escorting where the wife or girlfriend knew they were going that. With some it was amusing that the rule was they could be stripping for gay men, doing escort work for gay clients or making videos such as this but NOT for female clients. Others did not care so long as regardless of "where he ate lunch" he was always home for supper, preferably with a paycheck.

That said. I do not respect people who cheat. If you are unhappy in a relationship the way to handle this is to either repair the relationship or leave it. It really is that simple.

Sha - thanks for your comments. It is absolutely true that there is a variety of opinion and preference when it comes to your viewing audience. So no matter what there will always be some who are delighted and others who are not with some of the content you produce. One of the things I enjoy about this site is that you folks do read and respnd to what is mentioned as well as I expect look at the viewing rates for different scenes among other data. On the whole I have been very happy with the content here and the balance you have managed to maintain. I am not as excited with some of the models as I am with others but I have never seen one I looked at and thought "my god, what skid row bar did they find him passed out in front of". Also from the comments of the various models who have interacted with us it is clear they feel they are treated fairly and well by the management which is another big plus in my book.
