Welcome to the forum MascNJDude! By the way, I love your screen name. I don't think Dakota is still filming new scenes here, but there is plenty of his stuff in the archives for you to watch. If you have any questions about past models or the site, I've been around here a long time and Broke Straight Boys is a hobby of mine, so I'd love to try to help you out, and if I can't, there are a handful of others here who've also been here a long time.

You have very good taste. Dakota is a treasure. We were lucky to have had him here and to have been introduced to him. While I doubt tat he will be back, one learns here never to say never around here. lol Since you have a sense of what a nice guy he is, I assume you have seen his extraordinary BTS (Behind the Scenes) video. Also NJdude, the forum has 2 sections you can start a thread in. One is for Broke Straight Boys site related matters and the other is for non-site related issues. It could be politics, current events, popular culture, entertainment, etc. You've posted this in the non-site related section even though it would have qualified to be on the other side. I'm sure that each one has a story as to where they are. Drake was a big porn actor before he ever got here and admitted that he's worked for ton's of sites and is probably working elsewhere now. We found that Brady is big on twitter and has a boyfriend. I don't know about Ronan Kennedy.

But to me, it's not any great mystery. No one is making a long term commitment to Broke Straight Boys They all come and go. Some are not asked back by management and others leave for greener pastures. It's the nature of the business. It's not a typical work environment where you may work together with your coworkers for 20 or 30 years. It doesn't happen in porn. Models have a short shelf life.

And as I was telling Johnny last night, it's not in the best interest of management to always tell us who is definitely not coming back, as it keeps their fans here waiting and hoping for a return by Tyler, Drake or Brady or whomever. It makes sense from a business point of view as folks might quit the site if they know that their favorite is done. Management never told us that Paul and Damien were not coming back, nor did they when most models left. I understand their reasoning and have no problem with that.

Drake Tyler does appear to have moved on to greener (or other) pastures. I, for one, miss him - super body, great performer, charming guy in the chats. Here are his last three performance notices, that I am aware of, since his last Broke Straight Boys outing:

As Mike noted, Drake had a pretty flourishing career in the industry before he ever turned up on Broke Straight Boys - and no doubt, he doesn't want to be "fenced in." (Boys are funny that way, sometimes ;-)))

But, as Tampa says, "Never Say NEVER", around here. Vadim Black seemed lost to the site, and he came back. . . maybe Drake will, too! (It is devoutly to be wished ;-)*

Very true Mikey.

Part of the issue is just the great expense of signing models to exclusive contracts. I'm not sure that Broke Straight Boys will ever do it again. A couple of models we knew for sure had contracts were Jimmy Johnson and Johnny Forza. When models are given contracts there's always the chance they will become complacent and lazy. Because once in, they know it's often very difficult, expensive and therefore unlikely that the company will fire them if they're signed to contract. So in the industry some models take advantage of that.

That's really the reason I see [lack of exclusive contracts] as to why so many Broke Straight Boys models leave here, work other sites and then come back agin. There's no financial incentive for them to remain exclusive to Broke Straight Boys And they often simply can't promise steady work to every model who wants it for 3, 4, 5 months in a row. Some models are not in as much need of the cash as others, while some prefer to remain exclusive to Broke Straight Boys out a sense of loyalty to the staff and/or the site. But of course loyalty alone does not pay the bills. lol So some of those in greater financial need go elsewhere in between shoots here so as not to become overexposed at any one site.

It seems like Vadim Black has found the happy medium. He seems to like working for BluMedia and I would guess he lives in close proximity to the new studio (Orlando?), and so apparently in between working for other studios he is available to stop by and film a scene or two here as well as the other studios he works at. I personally am not a big Vadim Black fan, but he is definitely popular and it seems to work for him, for management and for his fans, so it's a win-win-win situation for all involved.

...and mine as well. The last I heard of him was his tweets on his Twitter account advertising him and another guy (forget his name) doing shows, I assume, on some gay chat site. I wouldn't mind if he came back here...he was hot.

I agree. I miss him. He really spoke from the heart when he joined us here. He's a veteran who really has contributed and sacrificed much for our country also.
