LOL Lovelumps and Ms. K.
Ms. K this is probably not the thread to cover my diet but I will share my secrets with you anyway. First of all there are a few things to keep in mind regarding my diet. First is my background and my history. I started wrestling and marital arts when I was 5-6 years old. So, I have been pretty used to working out most of my life. In my younger photos posted on my profile page I think I was around 5.3% body fat. That is kind of normal for wrestlers and martial artists of my time. Now I think they are required to be about 7% minimum. In the old days to be between 5% and 12% was considered athletic. I have also been a certified fitness trainer since I was 18 and have a bout 25 plus years experience under my belt besides some excess fat. LOL. Last but not least there were medical issues that caused my weight gain (Fatty liver and Apnea) that have been arrested and or about 85% healed at this time.
That being said, I follow a combination of about four diets pretty strictly along with daily exercise sometimes twice a day mostly aerobic interval training and muscle conditioning when I can work it into my schedule. A day of rest for me actually includes walking about 8-10 miles. So, exercise has been daily. I use my knowledge of personal fitness training, massage therapy, oriental medicine, and nutritional supplements to deal with excess lactic acid and muscle fatigue from my work outs. Nutritional supplements include acai berry, reservatrol, milk thistle, asparagus extract, Sam-E, Vitamin C, B-12, cranberry extract, lecithin, essential amino-acids and a strict diet of nutritional super foods. The diet is high in protein and fiber and low in fats, starches, and simple carbs. (Sounds pretty bland, but I have been creative with my cooking approaches and smoothies) I combine Dr. Adamo's, "Eat Right for Your Blood Type;" "Kathy Smith's "Feed Muscle Shrink Fat Diet;" Nancy Clark's, "Sports Nutrition Guide Book;" and Dr. Colgan's, "Sports Nutrition Guide. Trust me 135 lbs. is not that easy to get rid of in 6 mos. with out a lot of hard work and diet adherence. I hit 245 this morning which was my X-mas goal. Yeah!!! I guess I earned my Christmas dinner now...
I will add a few more Santa pictures or two just to keep this on topic.
