I missed it. What happened with the Colorado studio? Now Broke Straight Boys is showing the original format with the previous director. Did we lose the models from there also? What happened?:001_unsure:

Boy are you behind. The Colorado mansion has been gone for years. But we are back to the original director. It seems everything old is new again. They have bounced from Florida to Colorado back to Florida briefly then to Atlanta for a few years now back to Florida. There are members who can give you a more exact run down.

I truly am confused. I watched scenes in the summer showing the bedrooms in what I thought was the house. It had the artwork and the voice of the director from the Colorado house. An 'after the scene' was posted 21 Sept., 2020 with one of the rooms, having windows & artwork. Then sometime this fall, the old or original director with his similar studio came back with his format. It certainly has not been years ago unless I am Rip Van Winkle.

And I am not a 'junior member' having access to Broke Straight Boys for years through a "Never Suck Cock' membership. Screwy membership with Blue Media changed my times. Just Saying. It has been since Jamie & Aiden in May of 2006. I have been through many models and décor.

The only thing I can figure is you were confused by the decor. Or possibly because Sha was involved in the scene. He has been with the company for years and he participated more in the actual filming and interviewing in Atlanta but he also did this some in Colorado. Mark sold the mansion several years ago. The other possibility is they put up an old scene out of order. They have been filming in the Atlanta area for the last few years in a couple of different locations. Jay or Mikeyank or Tampa can probably give you dates.

David was the original director with the futon from his Florida studio from the very beginning until April of 2011. Clay began shooting the scenes from a different studio in Florida. In January 2013, Clay remained as director when they moved to Colorado and “the mansion”. They remained at that locale as the directors changed to Johnny Robins, Damien Christopher and eventually Sha who has been part of Blu Media for many years began directing the scenes. The mansion was sold and Sha continued directing at a studio in Florida before moving to Atlanta. When the pandemic hit, Mark rehired original director David to shoot from his studio in Florida where there is a rapid testing site for both STD’s and COVID. That is where we are at now.

Management doesn't seem to want to comment on when they moved to different studios, so I've been looking at the thumbnails on the scenes page to try to determine when they moved out of Colorado.

February 2015 is the Colorado studio.

April 2015 is in a different studio, apparently their temporary move to Florida.

And these two are May 2015.

July 2016 may be the next move, possibly to Atlanta.

This is just my assumptions based on the various sets. If someone in management wants to correct my assumptions, please do!

We moved studios from Colorado to Florida in March 2015.
Thank you Mark for confirming that, so my thumbnail from April 2015 is pretty much the right timing of the move to Florida. If any university wants to give a course on Broke Straight Boys, the directors, studios and models, I would volunteer to teach the course. I love Broke Straight Boys history. lol

What a nice hot way to show the different studios!

Thanks Mike. You certainly have a handle on this more than I thought I had. Those different sets really had me in a fantasy. I had the thought David was the owner considering his dialogue. My memory [obviously not so sharp] I was current at the beginning remembering the very early ones when posted. When David said he was moving on I thought it was sold to the mansion with that whole atmosphere of the models living together and that dynamic. Then part of the group went on gay pride events to actually broadcasting a Broke Straight Boys documentary. My sense it was all the same group until I recognized David's voice [I think] back wondering me what happened. I did not pick up on an Atlanta or Tampa studio. When the videos posted with David's style in October or thereabouts I questioned as all the personalities changed. Thanks for taking the time and interest on your explanation. I am surprised on how fast time went on all of the changes!

Also except for the first & second photo I thought the rest were all from the mansion in Colorado. The windows and outdoor scenes were my clues.

It is truly my pleasure melvinOb23 to explain and illustrate the changes through the years. I had discovered Broke Straight Boys during a period in my life when I was going through a career crisis having lost the only job I had ever had and was having difficulty adjusting to a new outside sales job where I was at home a lot and the site and particularly the forum filled a large part of the void in my life.

All the changes in production teams, directors and shooting locales and sets was like living through history for me. And I met so many new people literally around the world through our shared passion for all things Broke Straight Boys on this forum. And so I do love to share my sense of history on this otherwise trivial knowledge of a porn site with all who show any interest on the subject.

Hi Melvin,

It's my understanding that the studio had moved from Orlando to Atlanta. But to my knowledge they have never filmed in Tampa. Now the filming is back in Florida at a secure, undisclosed location. haha

Yes we know that they haven’t filmed in Tampa because one of our long time members would certainly be there with his lawn chair to watch. Just kidding I’d be there also. But you know they really might need a corespondent to report from the side lines.

Have lawn chair and face mask. Will travel. haha

Thanks for the great summary!
Do you know how College Dudes fits in with this?
Also, were the producers of CumClub.com ever involved?
