well, i thought it was hot...

the old Broke Straight Boys had a number of scenarios - especially early on when actors were introduced -- remember Tyler at the car show?

i like the way this was acted and found it pretty believable -- believable enough anyway.

and i thought the "i'll do anything for money" bit was hokey at first, but the way CJ laughs, which I interpreted as "oh now i get what's going on" made it hot after all.

I like the way the new director mixes it up a little more creatively. I am optimistic for BSB2.

I also recall many "contrived scenarios" particularly in the older episodes on the original site. In addition to the car show, I recall one where David just happened to be wandering outside with his camera, and found the maintenance guy on his grounds, and invited him back into the studio to make some money, and of course we had the pizza guy making a delivery, who was convinced to join in on the fun. There were also many instances where established models brought in their "friends" from back home, or a buddy, who they probably never met before David introduced them back stage.

Then of course, particularly in the early scenes, David invited guys there to be with a girl. The girl of course canceled at the last minute, but there just happened to be another model hanging out at the studio who came into the scene in place of the girl, but David always promised that next time he would bring in the girl. And in many of the older scenes, David would tell the model that he didn't have to touch the other model, just jerk off side by side. Then he would offer more money for them to touch, or suck, and on cue, both models would feign disgust, and reach for their clothes and start to get dressed to leave. I recall at least one time where David followed them outside with his camera, and then convinced them to return to the studio.

We have only seen five new episodes, in what is less than two weeks, so it is way too early to determine exactly what this new version will turn out to be. But I like the models, and I like "Matthew", and I'm looking forward to the upcoming scenes where the guys get into more sexual contact with each other. There is a fine line between somewhat believability and hokeyness in the scenarios on a site like this one.

Broke Straight Boys never was, and never will be a true reality documentary of straight guys being coerced into gay sex. It is a fantasy site that tries to approximate what might happen with guys their age who are down on their luck and need to earn some quick cash. Based on the early introductory episodes, it appears that Matthew will get the boys to do perhaps a bit more than David did, with the early scene of Rocco and Slink kissing, the recent scenes where the model's scoop up some of their loads and put it on their tongues, and from the preview scenes, they will be shooting cum into each other's mouths as well. If the models are reasonably believable as straight guys, doing these things, plus the new fucking and sucking scenes coming up, I do believe that I will be a very satisfied customer. But it is still way to early to make any definitive declarations about what version two is, or will be. But I like what I see so far.

Till now I used to skip most solo's. One guy sitting down, jerking for 15 minutes... how boring.

Really like the outdoor scenes, the smiles and small talk. Those that don't like foreplay, why not fast-forward?

Mike I agree with most of that. But I personally feel Broke Straight Boys is partly a hybrid. It's part fantasy site and reality porn. I think some episdoes are contrived, and others are at least part real.

I believe (of course I don't know this) that the models generally know what the site is about before shooting. But I'm also fairly certain at least some of them had no idea how far things would go before David said, "thanks for stopping by."

At least some of the reactions of models to various situations would have to make them consumate actors and I have a hard time believing that.

Many of those scenes is what made Broke Straight Boys 1.0 often so exquisite. The new Broke Straight Boys like the old one will always have that extra burden put upon it to make is seem as real as possible. But when they get it to work. it's magic.

lubetube, I'm confident that before they step onto the set, all of the models have signed a contract, stating what they might be asked to do and what they will be paid for the work. To not do so would leave David (or Mark) so wide open for lawsuits and charges of abuse and even rape that I can't believe he wouldn't cover his ass with a signed contract (of course, pun intended).

Now that contract might have been signed five days ago (I remember David stating most models are flown in and put up for a week). So by the time he is asked to "take one for the team", a model might discounted the possibility, or at least conveniently forgotten about it. Plus that moment - My God, I'm going to have a dick up my ass for the first time and it's going to be posted on the INTERNET! - has got to be a harsh one for many young boys. I'd totally freak out.

We're in agreement here, although we may look at it from a different perspective. I think it's all scripted, or at least mostly all. Maybe one in twenty of the stories a model tells is completely true. For most of the models, my bet would be the story has its basis in fact, but is stretched or changed for whatever reason (privacy, believability, sexiness, appropriateness, etc.). As you say, these kids aren't great actors, and by basing their stories in fact, it's easier for them to lie.

I think it's all made up, except for the parts that are true.

And I agree with your post too, lubetube. It is definitely a hybrid of reality and fantasy in the format of reality. I believe that David often based the scenario's presented on camera based on the kid's real life situation. That is how their reactions to his questions often came out more naturally, than if he created an entire fictitious story.

But I do believe that they knew what they were expected to do in that day's scene, well before David delivered his famous opening line. The guy's who were to bottom were groomed and pristine in their hygiene, to avoid any messy accidents. Also David told us that the still shots that we saw with each episode were shot prior to the shoot, I believe by Eddie. So they did a run through of stripping, sucking, and possibly simulating fucking before David ever turned on his video camera.

Of course, I don't know that any of these things that I just said to be completely the truth. They are only assumptions based on being a loyal viewer, and reader of the sometimes in depth post's David made here.

And I completely agree with you that when David or "Matthew" can make it seem as real as possible, the scenes totally work, and it is magic.

If I can get lost in the scene, and believe that I am watching hot young straight guys performing totally hot gay sex, then I am in my state of nirvana. And keep in mind, that when a model is in the midst of hot sex, and he enters into his "pleasure zone", then what we see on camera is very real. And that is magical, as well. :001_tt2:

What is that I smell fresh from the oven?

Dear Mikeyank,

Did you have to hit upon the most spell binding trilogy ever of "Michael and Anthony" with Tony as the shy but eager to please "Pizza Delivery Boy". Scripted or not, it was among the best of the best for passion, believability and spontaneity from Broke Straight Boys, at least from this member's viewpoint. I was totally charmed and captivated by their "Chemistry and their step-by step progression toward total sexual bliss!"

Tony could really tease you without even giving off the slightest hint he was doing so. This trilogy set up an extremely high standard that even David never quite duplicated again. That is saying allot in view of other Hotties on-board at the time. The episodes in question were 11/24/07; 12/08/07; and 1/5/08. YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF TO GIVE THESE THREE SCENES A TRY! Just the thought of these three hotter than hot episodes has really got me going, or is it more like "cumming"! Oh well, at this point, who wants to be picky! Not me!

I don't know if the new team can quite duplicate this trilogy for its raw intensity. But, having this as an ideal and goal to strive for, surely it can only help with future Broke Straight Boys episodes!

Mikeyank, thank you for getting me all "HOT AND BOTHERED"! You naught boy, you!

Satisfied once again!

Stimpy

Some of the new ideas are pretty cool. But, like many others, enough of the cash being thrown around. Why not simply do as Broke Straight Boys 1.0 did and negotiate pay. Like any business, these guys are paid by check. Otherwise, the IRS will be down on these guys in a heartbeat. There has to be a certain fantasy, but there is also the reality of business. David was very up front about all of this and I think Broke Straight Boys 2.0 should be as well. It just seems like the flaunting of cash cheapens the entire presentation. I avoid other sites that try to pay as you go.

It was my pleasure Stimpy to get you all hot and bothered, reliving your love of Tony. I have my favorites too that work like magic for me, Logan & Tank Shane to name two of my "go to" guys, especially in both of their earliest scenes, where looks of confusion turned into looks of passion on both of their pretty faces..

But obviously I was referring to the "contrived" pizza delivery boy interrupting Mike's shoot, story line. And as I watched it again, it is interesting that David waves several hundred dollar bills in the pizza boy's face to convince him to get naked and jerk off on camera. That may have been the only time David did that, while Matthew does it in every scene.

So if my comments, inadvertently lead to pleasure for you Stimpy, as an ex boy scout, I'm glad that I did my good deed today. :thumbup1:

So many bad things...

I agree with some of what was said but the thread is about CJ so I want to steer it back to the scene. Does ANYONE besides me notice the poor camera work that is all over the place making me sick? He can't do camerawork if his life depended on it. It's like he was walking over bumps at the beginning to get to CJ hidden by the lake. And trying to hold it while grabbing a piece of art & the whole contrived get to the point pull out your dick is reminding me of dirty old men & yes I'm older but getting someone to pull out their dick in the woods & then follow them back is like what's the point? You can tell that was all scripted. Getting back to the camera, CJ is supposedly a college student so why no mention of the dog tags esp. when he focused on them so long near the point of climax. And the dirty clothes with the $100s on top near that time, if I want to see a pile of dirty clothes I'll look in my clothes hamper & jerk off to them! Instead of focusing on the young man near climax we see that! Disgusting! I'm so disappointed in this new concept that the bonus sites are now the highlight for me. It's very obvious that Mark had to cut the budget way back & that is why we are subjected to the garbage we're enduring now. Since you're cutting back on the budget Mark , how about reducing the monthly fees?:crying:

It isn't garbage and no the camera work wasn't bad. Anytime there is change, there will be some bitter queens who are unhappy and want to go back to the gay men as opposed to the straight men. It's okay..you'll understand that you're not the only user and get over yourself eventually.

I really like the shoot with CJ.. the storyline is quite believable and CJ does seem to be straight and is sexy.

I happen to like Zach.

Personally the filming with a hand held camera does not bother me, as it brings some realism to the scene; but some don't like the shaky shots. Are they not entitled to that opinion?

And I wondered about those army tags Warren mentioned too... Did not see any dirty clothes, but noticed the expensive Nike socks.

I suggest you go back to the scene & watch the camera. You can call me a bitter queen fine but I say nothing about preferring the mostly gay actors to straight men but at least get straight men that are good looking!
And obviously you are talking about someone else when you refer to " not the only user & get over yourself eventually"? getting an insulting cheap shot to someone rather than having a decent respect for all opinions no matter how much they differ from yours. I'm above insults but rather look at things objectively & seeing the other person's expressed opinion as rightful & allowed in this free country of speech.:confused1:

Just out of curiosity, because I have trouble keeping my urban dictionary terminology straight................ does me being a straight female, disqualify me from being a bitter queen, or make me a prime suspect?:confused1:

qscott86,

I see warrenhottie as commenting on a technical aspect of the new Broke Straight Boys and he has a right to say it.

Obviously you haven't noticed that a great majority of members are disatisfied so far with Broke Straight Boys 2.0. Haven't you been reading the threads concerning the new set up?

IMHO only Zach, Slink and CJ are cute out of the 6 vids so far. But the director hasn't done a thing with them.

It looks like he's scared because, Oh my God, if they actually have sex we'll think they're not really straight. So we have the honor of watching mostly average looking straight dudes jack off and barely tolerate another dude even watching.

Oh WOW, tonight we're supposed to be treated to a real Dildo scene. Goody, goodie.

Actually, only majority of voters in an poll on this site have said they are dissatisfied. Polls like this are notoriously unreliable, as are Internet forums in general. (Have you ever been involved with a car forum? I have, as a moderator. You'd think from reading the negative posts and polls on that forum that Honda made the shittiest cars in the world.)

The only real test is Mark's subscription renewal rate. As for that, we don't know its status, although we will with time. The extent and the rapidity of his tweaks on the site will tell us if things are going well for him with people re-upping for Broke Straight Boys

And IMHO, I think Rocco is hot. Doesn't make either you or me wrong.

I'll give any book 100 pages to get good before I will put it down and give up. I'll give this site a couple of months to do the same. As has been stated in another thread, there have been very poor times on Broke Straight Boys before. Remember right before the switch to HD, when bottom of the barrel, standard definition, piss-poor excuses for videos were being rolled out, one substandard scene after another? That time makes this seem a golden era. OK, maybe not golden, but at least brass. And you know who has the biggest brass balls of anybody here? Mark, for riding this through as calmly as he has.

As is often the case, slimvintage got this era dead-nuts right in another thread. This is a great time to be a member of Broke Straight Boys Things are happening. The site is new. There is energy to these discussions. It's the people that make this site real to me, not some fantasy-inspired videos, and right now, the people are wonderful.

Me, I'm enjoying it. :001_smile:

Why do I find myself agreeing with so much of what you say, Smiley? To quote some lyrics from an old Carly Simon song,

"I'm no prophet, and I don't know nature's ways
So I'll try to see into your eyes right now
And stay right here, 'cause these are the good old days
These are the good old days"

Can't you be nice or what is the problem?

Sounds like you're a prime suspect.
Please have respect for us to express our opinions. It's not right for you to sling insults at everyone. I don't think you are following the rules of conduct to give out cheap insulting shots to us guys & girls or I hope the administrators notice the unbelieveably bad out of control words:cursing: you say.
