Car Quiz 22

Dearest Tim,

This car is a 1931 or 32 Chrysler Imperial Custom Series CL Convertible Sedan. It most nearly resembles the classic Duesenberg J or SM model of the same era. They are truly beautiful in every way and represent the high mark in American automotive design history, although comparing a Chrysler Imperial to a handmade customized car like the Dusenberg is like comparing a Cadillac to a one-of-a-kind Rolls Royce.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

Stimpy,

Correct. Were the 1930s the height of design for American cars. I am not a passionate car person like you, but I like the "look" of a lot of the 1930s cars. Engineering is another aspect that is important, but I know nothing about. By the way, I got a PM from someone on this site to stop doing these posts. I think he feels they are off topic.

Please ignore that person Tim. This part of the forum is called "General Chat Forum (not membership site related)" and your car quizzes are perfectly appropriate and "on topic" for this section of the forum.

While I am not a car person, Stimpy and Abe among others, are into it, and I think it's great to have fun with. I have posted baseball threads, while we have had threads on music, and politics and social issues here too. If one isn't interested in the subject matter, they don't have to read the thread.

Keep on doing what you are doing Tim, It's all good.

Sounds like FOX News is at it again with a light salting of truth and heavy on agenda

Dearest Tim and Mikeyank,

So sorry that some off topic comment had to rear its ugly face. I guess they would prefer shouting obscenities and being impolite to other forumites would be an improvement.

I want to thank Tim for coming up with his "brain-teasers" not limited only to cars. It seems like Japanese Art and Fashion were among some other topics he has brought up. Personally, I have found Tim's contributions a challenge to respond to and I hope others found it entertaining as well, regardless of it being your area of interest or not.

Others are always free to join in. I want as well to thank Mikeyank for his support as a frequent contributor of our forum and the diversity of topics it has included.

In my opinion, please dont be the Grinch that stole Thanksgiving too, in addition to Christmas! There is room for everyone!:smiley-sex022::welcome: We're just getting warmed up!

EVERYBODY HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING, OFF-TOPIC OR OTHERWISE!

Sincerely,

Stimpy
