Bye for now...

Dearest Mikeyank,

All of the above is deserving of your being justifiably recognized as a long-time Broke Straight Boys sage, prophet, and wiseman; having great writing-style eloquence, dignity, well-thought convictions; and depth of personal wisedom that few on this site can lay claim! I feel truly humbled by your continued willingness to counter my incessant arguments and objections to what you so kindly put as a mere "fantasy" and find myself compelled to express personally my emmense gratitude to your being so very generous to overlook my many shortcomings. Your friendship I consider as a dear gift to me.

Your writings inspire the best in me, even if it is in direct opposition to your personal tastes, I fear not. I consider our friendship as a great personal blessing and, at the same time, a great mystery. But, regardless of all my opposing views already expressed, I truly am proud and feel privileged to count you among my "closest" friends encountered on Broke Straight Boys A mere thanks seems so very meager when compared with your consistent friendship you have repeatedly extended and reaffirmed to me!

Thank you Mike for the great blessing you represent both to the entire site, and to me personally! We talk about certain models as icons and stars, but in all my dealings with you, you have always remained the quintessential contributor on the forum and it's lifeforce. I want to express publicly that I consider you are truly a "quintessential Gay man", with all the dignity and honor one can envision and hope to aspire. You leave me in awe!

Thank you Mike for being YOU!

Sincerely,

Stimpy
To my brother on the forum, Stimpy,

I am humbled by your kind words. You are my friend, and in the big picture of life, if I get turned on by watching a hot (believably) straight guy like Jimmy lay back and have his dick serviced with a smile/smirk on his face as he feels the pleasure, but doesn't want to admit it, and you get turned on watching two models kiss and make tender passionate love, that doesn't mean that I don't love you as a brother, and care about you and respect you as a caring, esteemed prominent contributor to this forum that I enjoy so much.

Just as I have dear friends who root for the NY Mets and the Boston Red Sox, while I love the Yankees, or the fact that my own brother is a huge North Carolina Tar Heel fan, while I loathe the "Tar Holes" and love the Duke Blue Devils, none of that matters when we are talking about real life and real people in our lives.

So Stimpy, our debate will go on regarding the scenes and the model's here, but my respect and friendship for you is unaltered by our "public spats" on the board. You are a very good man, and I am honored to call you friend! :thumbup1:

Stripe is literate, urbane, erudite and amusing. He also has good taste in porn and is going to hang out for a while at the only other site I'd think of joining.

I hope you come back here for a peek some time in the future Stripe. You're a terrific guy.

What site would that be, Slimmie?

My dear Mike,

You always seem to be reading my mind. You are so correct in your assessment of Broke Straight Boys, and the forum. I too have been around since page 1 on the episodes, but didn't join the forum til around 2009, although I would read the posts. This is exactly what I have alluded to on more than one occasion. A year or two down the line, there will be another model come along who will polarize the forum with pros and cons.

And while everyone is entitled to their particular tastes and opinions, let us just hope that future debates, while they may become heated, will at least be more civil. I have always thought that there are still so many people in our society who would judge us and persecute us (if they could) for having a porn site , and worse yet, to have a forum where we discussed all that we do here.

Why on earth would any forum member feel the need to personally attack models, or forumites, or management? We are all grown gay men here (with some delightful exceptions) and we should embrace that brotherhood, and even when we disagree, with all the more reason we should protect and support each other and our diverse views and
tastes.

I too have made my mistakes here, but I have learned and mellowed with the inspiring posts that many of you (especially you Mike) have shared with us. And, I too feel that this is one of the best places in the world to come and share feelings and hardships and moments of laughter and triumph, much like home. We are blessed to have this opportunity that is not common in all parts of the world. Let us enjoy it and continue to debate or acclaim all that Broke Straight Boys and this site provides us.

That is exactly the way that I feel. We are all either gay men or at least people who are very "pro gay", but we can tear ourselves apart here with some nasty vicious comments, rather than civil debate, when we disagree.

I'm pleased to see that I am not the only one who views this wonderful forum as something to treasure, and respect, as we are so fortunate to have this outlet for our thoughts about not just Broke Straight Boys, but life in general. Thanks for your nice comments, and it is my pleasure to share this forum with you JLipps.

Thanks Slim!!! High praise indeed.

Thanks also to everyone else (especially Stimpy)!!!!

Bye, now...

And yet I see you are still here Avery! hmmm

I understand what you are saying, and you do have some merit to your advice/argument. However, if I were the site owner, and read your posts, I'd thank you very much and cancel your membership myself. At the very least, I'd ban you from the forums completely. People have been banned for less, I am in awe that they have not banned you already.

Personally, I am tired of reading your constant whining and discord. Don't bother to respond, as of now, I shall just add you to the Ignore list.

JLipps, what is this in response to? Avery hasn't even posted on this thread. :confused1:

I'm sorry that you be leaving us Stripe. Hopefully it will be only a temporary absence.

I am not going to explain simply because I don't want to give credence to his post. I will say this. I do think that management should just ban anyone who turns their posts into personal attacks on the models, the site, and the management. I would not put up with that crap. If you don't like the product, STOP buying it! Simple. Done.

I agree with you 110% JLipps, thanks.

I totally agree with you. I think I'm pretty easy going but I just had enough of the attacks and even though I hate banning, I just had to do it.

I agree with you Scorpio. Free speech is great. And some heated and spirited debate now and then is not necessarily a bad thing. Not at all. But a certain amount of decorum should reasonably be expected from adults. After all the personal ad hominem attacks on that "other" thread especially, someone has to come in and moderate things before differences of opinion over content or policy become very personal, nasty barroom brawls.

JLipps thank you for saying that. I am so sick of the constant beating up of a certain model who shall remain unmentioned by me that I lashed back myself and felt bad. These guys put themselves out there for our enjoyment so the least we can do is be respectfully of them. Bitching about the management is fair game in my book, they take my money they darn sure can listen to my views and gripes, but I also agree that if their that unhappy just keep walking and find a site they like better. I'm not completely satisfied with this site either but it is worth the money I spend I think. When I don't feel that way I know where the door is without making everybodies life miserable.
