Long time forumite
I've discovered over my time here at Broke Straight Boys that there are two basic schools of thought among forumites regarding the type of boys presented on Broke Straight Boys When I originally joined, I just assumed that everyone who became a member here had the same "straight boy" fantasy as I did, and that's why they joined a site called Broke Straight Boys But once the forum was instituted, I was very surprised to learn that some really didn't even care if they appeared straight as long as they were hot and good performers.
I am of the "school of thought" where it matters a lot to my fantasies and fetish and I used to be "hard line" about absolutely no gay appearing guys to appear here, as it was totally against the concept of the site and what turned me on in my porn. But with the diverse thoughts and opinions presented on the forum, I now accept that Broke Straight Boys has a much wider audience than folks with my strict interpretation of the mission statement of the site. Plus the fact that with all the changes in society over the last eight years since I joined, it is harder and harder for the management to recruit and maintain guys who fit into my strict interpretation of "straight", "straight acting" or even "believably straight", and so I now "go with the flow", which still voicing my differences but accept that so many members just want good looking, sexual beings to have sex here and I enjoy the forum, and a select few models who still fit into my category of being a prototypical Broke Straight Boys in the classic sense of the Broke Straight Boys-1 type that used to be presented here.
If Shawn was brought in here in 2008 or even in 2011 when the second phase of the site which we call Broke Straight Boys-2 was started, I would be protesting loudly, but I understand that if he "puts on a good show", then he is fine to entertain a large portion of the members here. And that is good too!
