We had a great discussion on BSG before and now the series is over. What did we find out and what did we learn? For me:
I did not realize how much the series was influenced by 9/11.
It has all happened before and it will all happen again. True, but we can choose to break the cycle (think N. Ireland and the Middle East). We can give up who we are and become something greater. Although I am surprised that we are all human-cylon hybrids!
There are Angels, Kara, Number 6 and (of all people) Gaius Baltar. And we can see them!
God doesn't like it when we call him God. So says Angel Gaius to Angel 6. Now that leads to the question of who is he? I have a sneaky feeling that he is cylon 13 (actually number 7 or 8), Daniel. Now Daniel was a sensitive sort, who liked music. He was boxed (or so we are told). But it was music that led Kara to enter the coordinates of the planet (re)named Earth. So is God's name Daniel?
Hera was the mother of us all. We are all related, there is a connection between us. Isn't that a great way to live?
So my brothers and sisters, what do you think?
Your loving brother,
Jayce
