That is correct it is Broke Straight Boys not broke gay boys. What sells the site is the straightness not the gayness. As I have posted tons of times, if they say they're straight, to me, they're straight. I come here as a gay man, (fourteen years older than you), who desired and lusted after straight guys going back to my childhood. Perhaps it is the allure of forbidden fruit, or some other psychological reason etched deeply into my brain. But whatever the reason is, I came to this site and enjoyed over the year's primarily David's collection of guy's who looked like, dressed like, talked like and behaved like many straight guys that I have known over my whole lifetime.

While it is true that in 2012, there are many straight boys who do not have the same hang ups regarding sexuality that existed when you were their age, there are still a lot of young people growing up in various communities and regions of this country who still are hard core "anti gay". I think that is a great response to an equally great observation. We as members do not know half of what you guys know so it is really hard for us to get around if the models are straight/bi/gay. I will not go down the road of slating the previous film producers because I enjoyed what I saw and it certainly brought the members in. When I started this thread, two weeks ago, I was hoping to get your attention Mark, and I'm so pleased that you are commenting on this situation.

I believe you when you say the Broke Straight Boys models were gay and you were sick of it and that is why you changed it. Well I've only been back a while and I'm very happy with the new site. I did say I was going to watch films from when I last left but things didn't work out that way. I have followed this thread since it was begun by my dear friend, mikeyank. And have read the previous 38 posts over time. This issue of the site and what it offered in the past, is offering now, and what it should be offering has been the subject of other threads and/or has crept into seemingly unrelated threads quite often. So like most of you I will not be saying much, if anything, new but just reiterating my opinions of the past.

As mikeyank noted I coined the term "Broke Straight Boys 2.5". I did so to designate the time forward from Feb. 27, 2012 when Mark announced improvements to the site. Why 2.5? A bit of history. On April 2, 2011 Mark announced the arrival of Broke Straight Boys 2.0. That was a significant change from Broke Straight Boys 1.0 in that there were a new director/producer and production team and all new models. None of the models from 1.0 has appeared on 2.0 or 2.5 except for Jason (and even that's a stretch because he was in 4 scenes from 12/2008 to 5/2009 and then was on hiatus until 6/11/2011). So that was a wholesale change.

I chose 2.5 to describe the improvements announced on 2/27/2012 because there was no wholesale change. The production team stayed the same. There were improvements in videography and production values. There were also a bevy of new models introduced and there were changes in how they interacted with each other during some scenes. However, some of the models from 2.0 continue to appear in 2.5 such as Connor, Darren, Ross, Kodi, Anthony, Seth. Thus if 1.0 to 2.0 represented wholesale change, to me 2.5 represented improvements and modest changes to 2.0 .

The site - We each come to this site with our own ideas of what we want from it based on our past life experiences and whatever fantasies we have as a result. I'm sure if we did a concentric circle graphic of all those wants and desires there would be some overlapping, but there would also be many areas where there wouldn't be. Thus, the challenge of the ownership - to please as many members as possible at least enough times to keep them as members.

Site Offerings - I came to Broke Straight Boys thinking it was basically a hustler site, i.e. straight guys having sex with gay guys for money (just like in the real world). I didn't read the fine print and more importantly, the vast majority of my life experiences, especially during my long journey out of the closet, was with straight or bi guys who were hustlers or escorts (and every so often street trade). That wouldn't make sense to me based on my experience and it is something I wouldn't and don't fantasize about. Just because the site is called Broke Straight Boys, it doesn't mean both of the boys have to be straight in every scene.

"Believably straight" - This is to me a troublesome descriptive phrase. Why? Simply because "believably" is in the eye of the beholder. Some have said they believe Ty is gay. To me, I think he's straight. From the get-go I thought Kodi was gay; he says he's straight and many of you believe so, too!Mark says the guys are straight or bi based on his interaction with them. And he has a leg up on most of the rest of us who have never met them. I have no reason to doubt his assertion. If that is the case, Mark, then hire some gay guys so you can film some scenes where a straight guy is having sex with a gay guy.

My experiences with straight guys varied depending on what I was in the mood for and what they were into. For instance, if I were in the mood for a dominant top, then I find a hustler who was adept at that. They'd smack my ass, verbally abuse me, etc. And I got off on that because I was in the mood for it. Other times, I was in the mood for a more romantic encounter; and I would find a hustler who was into that, and we would have extended kissing and foreplay before I got fucked. I have followed this thread since it was begun by my dear friend, mikeyank. And have read the previous 38 posts over time. This issue of the site and what it offered in the past, is offering now, and what it should be offering has been the subject of other threads and/or has crept into seemingly unrelated threads quite often. So like most of you I will not be saying much, if anything, new but just reiterating my opinions of the past.

As mikeyank noted I coined the term "Broke Straight Boys 2.5". I did so to designate the time forward from Feb. 27, 2012 when Mark announced improvements to the site. Why 2.5? A bit of history. On April 2, 2011 Mark announced the arrival of Broke Straight Boys 2.0. That was a significant change from Broke Straight Boys 1.0 in that there were a new director/producer and production team and all new models. None of the models from 1.0 has appeared on 2.0 or 2.5 except for Jason (and even that's a stretch because he was in 4 scenes from 12/2008 to 5/2009 and then was on hiatus until 6/11/2011). So that was a wholesale change.

I chose 2.5 to describe the improvements announced on 2/27/2012 because there was no wholesale change. The production team stayed the same. There were improvements in videography and production values. There were also a bevy of new models introduced and there were changes in how they interacted with each other during some scenes. However, some of the models from 2.0 continue to appear in 2.5 such as Connor, Darren, Ross, Kodi, Anthony, Seth. Thus if 1.0 to 2.0 represented wholesale change, to me 2.5 represented improvements and modest changes to 2.0 .

The site - We each come to this site with our own ideas of what we want from it based on our past life experiences and whatever fantasies we have as a result. I'm sure if we did a concentric circle graphic of all those wants and desires there would be some overlapping, but there would also be many areas where there wouldn't be. Thus, the challenge of the ownership - to please as many members as possible at least enough times to keep them as members.

Site Offerings - I came to Broke Straight Boys thinking it was basically a hustler site, i.e. straight guys having sex with gay guys for money (just like in the real world). I didn't read the fine print and more importantly, the vast majority of my life experiences, especially during my long journey out of the closet, was with straight or bi guys who were hustlers or escorts (and every so often street trade). It didn't even dawn on me that a gay porn site would be premised on paying two straight guys to have sex with each other. That wouldn't make sense to me based on my experience and it is something I wouldn't and don't fantasize about. Now if these guys are straight and the sex is hot, I don't mind, but it's not a big deal although I would prefer to have the scenes primarily of a straight guy having sex with an out gay guy (not someone who says he's straight but leaves us wondering). BUT THAT'S ME. IT WOULDN'T BE FAIR TO HAVE THE SITE ENTIRELY THAT BECAUSE OTHER MEMBERS HAVE DIFFERENT IDEAS AND FANTASIES. here is robert's straight guy, gay guy scene would play.

I get precious little out of solo scenes. In fact, I don't comment or vote on them unless they are especially good or especially horrid. But every so often there's one that gets my juices flowing. BUT THAT'S ME. IT WOULDN'T BE FAIR TO HAVE NO SOLOS JUST BECAUSE I AND PROBABLY SOME OTHERS DON'T DIG THEM BECAUSE THERE ARE MEMBERS WHO DO. over the course of one year there have been an average of 4 solos every month.

For me, oral only scenes are hot only depending on the models and how well they suck dick. I can watch Jason give blowjobs forever. He's that good. And there are some others. Scenes where the guys are like robots sucking dick are a waste of time for me. BUT THAT'S ME. So it's very easy for us to sit back and complain because we don't think we are getting enough of what we want or desire or aren't getting all of our fantasies fulfilled. I think the site is giving us some of what we like some of the time. If you're getting nothing all of the time, then you have a decision to make. If anything, I would like to see scenes where there is an out straight guy having sex with an out gay guy. Just because the site is called Broke Straight Boys, it doesn't mean both of the boys have to be straight in every scene.

"Believably straight" - This is to me a troublesome descriptive phrase. Why? Simply because "believably" is in the eye of the beholder. Some have said they believe Ty is gay. To me, I think he's straight. From the get-go I thought Kodi was gay; he says he's straight and many of you believe so, too!Mark says the guys are straight or bi based on his interaction with them. And he has a leg up on most of the rest of us who have never met them. I have no reason to doubt his assertion. If that is the case, Mark, then hire some gay guys so you can film some scenes where a straight guy is having sex with a gay guy.

My experiences with straight guys varied depending on what I was in the mood for and what they were into. For instance, if I were in the mood for a dominant top, then I find a hustler who was adept at that. They'd smack my ass, verbally abuse me, etc. And I got off on that because I was in the mood for it. Other times, I was in the mood for a more romantic encounter; and I would find a hustler who was into that, and we would have extended kissing and foreplay before I got fucked. Then there were the times I just wanted a macho stud suck and fuck, and I'd find a hustler who was that way. They'd make me blow them, choke on their dick, and fuck me. All of these things and more I'd like to see on this site. And we do get some of them in mild form some of the time. There is some spanking occasionally. There is some verbal abuse from time to time. And in my comments I am always urging those tops who I believe have the potential to become more dominant. here you lay out three different straight guy, gay scenes and as a top, i like guys who are 1, 2, 3 on the sexuality scale willing to get fucked.

The kissing can be problematic for me. I love it when it flows from the chemistry between the models and the scene itself. Think Jason & Blake from 2.5 and Diesal & Jimmy Slater from 1.0 as examples. But kissing in every partnered scene just for the sake of kissing (see Connor & Anthony's recent scene) is a turn off. kissing if it works!

So the bottom line for me is that I take the wheat with the chaff. There are some scenes that, as Truvy would say, "melt my butter". There are others that don't. I would like to see some scenes with a straight guy having sex with a gay guy, either in a dominant way, a romantic way, or a suck and fuck. Because for me, I love seeing the look on the straight guy's face when he realizes that he has experienced a most pleasurable sexual experience at the hands, mouth, and ass of a gay guy. Other than that, as long as the models are hot and the sex is hot, I'm here to stay.
