this was also a concern of mine WAAAAY back with a model Sean, ()to which I even started a thread), BEFORE being REASSURRED by Mark, that the models are FULLY AWARE of what they will be doing in the scene, and ARE FREE, AT ANY TIME, to voice their opposition to, as well as, OPT OUT of 'those scene type', if they so desired.

Come to think of it Bob, you were the one who started the thread yourself way back when, and it was actually David who reassured us that it was a planned scene, but Sean sure acted like he was in pain. I guess even on a porn site, history has a way of repeating itself.

After all this current kerfuffle I went and watched that scene with Sean, and that one seemed worse, although I wasn't shocked by it because I knew what to expect. There was some oral and foreplay in that one, which I missed in the Kyle/Abram video, but Sean seems to truly be in pain in that one where Kyle mostly looked confused and ultimately seemed to like it. The interesting thing about that scene is that after that Sean never does another one for Broke Straight Boys Coincidence or did it truly piss him off/bother him to the point of never coming back (he had done three or four other scenes, so its not like he was a one-shot guy)? I guess no one can say but Sean. I think the thing with that particular scene that really pissed me off/bothered me was that you can hear the director goading Sean at the end when Sean says they have to stop because he can't take the pain any more saying things like "straight boy can't take it" and "well, if you want to do porn...". I thought that was really bad, particularly when he was in obvious distress. In that case I DO blame the director for not only letting it go so far but in trying to belittle or humiliate the model for wanting to stop (even if it was supposed to be a "good-natured ribbing"). But, ancient history now. I just found it very interesting.

There was also a rough scene with Jimmy mentioned, but in his case he always seemed like a douchebag to me, anyway, so that one I chalked up to him just being a jerk.

By the way, Colin did comment on the forum that he liked Jimmy and enjoyed working with him, so don't take it all too seriously. As far as Sean & Santos, that was a bit extreme and not hot to me, but in the film in question here of Abram and Kyle, I found very erotic and I'm curious to see how Abram fucks in his upcoming scenes. I find Abram very masculine and very hot.

Great posts guys. Yes. There have been many times in the course of the site where we viewers have second guessed why a director did not step in to fix something going wrong in a scene. For myself I feel that the Kyle/Abram scene is quite good. I personally didn't perceive it as over the top in its roughness.

The other two scenes are exceptions though. They were too much. In the case with Jimmy and Colin in particular, Clay gave him free rein and told Jimmy directly to be rough on Colin and essentially treat him any way he wanted. When Clay asked Jimmy directly on more than one occasion to at least try to give a decent blowjob, Jimmy (through his words and actions on set) would adamantly refuse and be insubordinate. But given an order by his boss to fuck a model senseless and treat him like a cheap blowup doll...he was happy enough to oblige that request. So yes. Jimmy was just being Jimmy. lol

And I don't know if its just a tough guy persona he puts on now or is he's gotten hardened from the business, because there was a scene he did here with Anthony Hunt where Jimmy was very encouraging and supportive of the new guy who was about to do his first oral and anal scene with Jimmy.

yes, and I was not very vocal back then, nor had I had the opp to meet Mark and Sha, and Chuck. The Jimmy/Anthony scene was one of his only scenes that I liked, for all the reasons you give above. I gave that one a 5 and a great review. I also kind of liked the Jimmy/Rex scene. Beyond those though I could have done without all the other 27 or scenes he had. lol

But I will ask you one question. I only know of one project he did after his contract expired. The Broke Straight Boys TV show. The DTLA show was filmed while he was still here. He was brought to the Broke Straight Boys TV show because it was assumed that would stir up controversy and drama to spice things up. On that point he did succeed.

Clay was the major go-between while Jimmy was first employed. So Mark and the rest of the staff probably had only a little bit of interaction with him on DTLA in California, since Jimmy was in Florida during most of his employment. While I can't speak for them, my guess is that they didn't bring him back to Broke Straight Boys because he was well-known and beloved by the staff...or held in high regard for the quality of his prior video work on the site. haha

Were Sabrina, Sha and Mark happy to have him staying in the house by the time they sent him packing? Did he represent the company well while he was on the show? Was it insubordinate of him to be rude and disrespectful to his employers and the staff of the site while he was being paid to stay in the house while getting free meals, transportation and lodging? For flunking or at the very least having ambiguous or inconclusive results on his STD tests? Such that they could not use him in any porn videos at risk of possibly endangering the health of the other models? Flunking an STD test may not have been a deliberate insubordinate act. But it still had the effect of breaking one of the main contractual agreements upon which he was hired for in the first place.

Since being a cast member on the tv show and performing in a few new porn videos were the two main things he was hired and being paid to do, I'd say he fell very short on the latter. So he ended up being paid for being a cast member on the show and a houseguest in his employer's home. Whatever very bad thing he was caught by the cams doing inside the house just before being kicked out...such that upon viewing the footage for himself, his biggest defender Sergio was left in stunned and awkward silence...will have to be left to our imaginations. Being a rude and disrespectful houseguest may not be a crime or technically fall under the definition of insubordination. But I doubt that any of them are eager to roll out the welcome mat for him again anytime soon. lol

Okay, so I'm a stand-up guy, and when I'm wrong I will freely admit it. I went back and found that Active Duty video where I said Jimmy was talking shit and not respecting other studios he'd worked for, and I was wrong. It wasn't Jimmy at all but Dink Flamingo who was talking all the shit. Jimmy, for his part, just sort of smiled and skirted Dink's questions and shit-talking and never actually said anything negative about anyone. So there, I apologize for maligning him. He's not as douchey as I'd remembered.
