As Mark began this thread on June 13, 2012, and we are approaching the two year anniversary next month, I no longer get too excited anticipating the "upcoming" television show. If it does happen, I will most definitely be tuned in, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.

LOL mikeyank; but, I've been getting more of a REALITY feel of the site from the scenes as well as the BTS, not to mention various threads in which models have participated, to hold on! I am confident it will come. I don't know what expect....exactly, but am certain it will take on a new form of REALITY-TV for me. I am already "addicted" all RHO's:biggrin:

Indeed Betu, Broke Straight Boys has always been a reality site to me more than a porn site. It was beginning to lose that feel as BSB2 had started to become "just another porn site", but with Johnny's more intrusive interviewing style, and the amazing BTS by Sha and Damien Christopher, and the new models posting again, the site itself is my reality series.

If the planned BSB TV ever comes to fruition, it will be great, but if not, I've plenty of reality right here already. :thumbup1:

It will happen when I win the lottery lol

It is a frustrating process but we are getting there. Thanks for your patience.

Here's a quick update on the show. The show has been completed and it turned out even more amazing than we could have ever hoped for. No other site has allowed cameras to document the private lives of not only a porn company, but also the interpersonal relationships of the models, why they do it, how they balance their work with their personal lives, and what the consequences are for what they do.

Broke Straight Boys explores the issues that all Straight Men have when they do Gay Porn in a way that has never been done before. This entire show is designed as an overview of the company, and the guys, while incorporating captivating issues and drama, along with some light-hearted fun.

Producing and releasing a show with content such as this is a tough and long process. Even though no porn is shown in the actual show, we believe that the show will captivate viewers as they journey into a world that most never knew even existed and will surely never forget. It's a true character study in that it provides an uncensored look into a taboo and unconventional lifestyle. Right now we are in negotiations with several networks and they have asked that we not give out too much information so that they can do their own media blitz when the time comes. It's frustrating for us because it has been a long process bringing the show from concept to completion, but that's how the business works.

So to put the rumors to rest, the show is done and will take the reality genre to a whole new level. Mark is a true visionary and his goal from the very beginning was to bring viewers something they have never seen before-- and we've done just that. The BTS provides a sneak peek into the world of Broke Straight Boys, but not to this extent.

Again, we unfortunately can't provide more details at this time due to network negotiations, but we'll keep you updated on when and where you'll be able to view it. I've produced a lot of TV and I'm extremely proud of the end product. It was shot with the highest production value possible and produced by some of the best in the business. We think that you'll be proud of what we've accomplished.

Feel free to ask questions or comment and we'll share with you what we can. Thanks in advance for your patience and support.

Guess you're right Damian, we are an impatient lot within this forum. I guess we didn't realise how long it would take to get it together however, and in our defence, we did get a bit sick and tired of being battered about it every 2 minutes. I look forward to seeing it on TV

Thanks for the update, Damian. It is nice to know that the show is done and just waiting for outlets.

It sounds as if what you ended up with is somewhat different than the original concept. And I have to say that what you have described here seems much more interesting to me at least.

At the very beginning of this thread Mark said that it was already contracted in 5 countries (he didn't specify which). It seems to me that in so far as the U.S. is concerned I can't see this on anything other that paid cable (HBO, etc.) or maybe Here!TV or pay-per-view given its content.

There was also mentioned back then of online streaming, I'm assuming on a paid basis, which would include more hard core scenes. Is that still the case?

Thanks for the questions.

Part of the delay of the show is that the concept was altered from a competition style show to more of a docu-series that focuses more on the lives of straight men that perform in gay for pay porn, what makes them do it, their engaging life stories, inflammatory personalities and disparate reasons for doing porn, along with drama, alliances, jealousy, hilarity, and sheer reality unlike anyone's ever seen. It's populated with colorful characters (the cast will be released at a later date), hilarious situations, heartfelt moments, and also explores the dynamic relationships between the owner of Broke Straight Boys, Mark, his staff, and the young men that perform for Broke Straight Boys

We are aiming to make it available across a variety of media outlets around the world and negotiating that takes time and hard work. The show was made for a mainstream audience so that it would appeal to every demographic, network, and every country possible. My Mom, a very religious southern Baptist, watched the pilot episode it and loved it! We have a talented team working behind the scenes to make this possible and we hope to reveal more information soon. Feedback on the show has been positive and now it's just a manner of finding the right home for it.

I've attached a never before seen pic of the behind the scenes filming of a scene in the kitchen. The cast has been blacked out, but feel free to speculate who you think is in the show. More coming soon!
