Too bad we have that damn two term rule.........

I am proud to claim Bill Clinton as a contemporary.

Dear another1,

As a lifelong resident of Arkansas, I am proud to declare Bill Clinton is as great as he ever was. He makes me proud to be an American. He makes me feel so fortunate to have him on my side. People often mention Ronald Reagan as the great communicator, but I think the title really belongs to Bill. He and Hiliary have made a great contribution to my state and our country as well!

I also feel we are fortunate to have Obama as our nominee for President for these next four critical years. I share the same values with Obama and believe America still had a vital role to play in this world. I am not ready to throw in the towel on the middle class. The American Dream is only reachable through the Democrat's leadership.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

I urge all you Americans to vote for Obama. I watched his speech on the bbc news tonight and loved the bit where he referred to Mitt as upsetting his closest allies when he visited for the Olympics.

Being rich doesn't make you automsticlly a good diplomat

Dear Dear jon,

While I am well aware of Mitt's clueless "faux pas" he made as soon as he first opened his stupid mouth at your Olympics, over his "exaggerated" and "feigned concerns" he expressed tactlessly over Security provided for the London 2012 Olympics. It made me think to myself, here we go again with something said that was so very dumb, just like what we came to expect from Geroge W Bush! :cya:

Besides being an embarrassment to the entire American people, my thoughts immediately turned to you, jon, thinking how insulting for you and the entire people of the UK to be forced to endure this senseless international blunder committed on your own doorstep. I figured American diplomacy could well return back to the dark ages of the prior GW Bush administration. Additionally, any open-minded person could tell Mitt Romney, despite his millions, is just another small-minded, zenophobic, country redneck stepping ungracefully onto the international stage:001_rolleyes: from the ranks of our out-of-control Republican Party! For all intents and purposes, Mitt might have better stayed home minding the chickens instead! :wtf: This country bumpkin arrived in London solely to establish unofficially his meager reputation for international diplomatic acumen! At this point, he only worsened international expectations in the diplomatic realm just like GW did so successfully 8 years earlier.:blushing:

It seems on second thought developing international credentials for diplomacy can't be earned simply by amassing great wealth, nor resulting from spending limitless millions of dollars in political advertising, nor being known internationally from his Bain Capital experiences as a "corporate raider" feasting like some hungry predator from the blood and guts of struggling corporations! I guess this fact explains why Romney professed one of his core beliefs that corporations should be equal in the eyes of the law to "citizens" and thinks they deserve the same rights as citizens under the law. I just would like for one of these corporations to volunteer for the Army to perform their military duty, not even to mention pay their full tax due to government.

Hopefully, we will have the great wisdom to deny Mitt Romney's chance for becoming our next President! Surely we can do much better both economically and diplomatically speaking by staying with Obama for "4 more years"!

Sincerely,

Stimpy

Totally agree with you there Stimpy. Any voting for Romney is akin to us voting for the monster raving looney party.

You make a very good case Stimpy. In the late 80's and the 90's we called people like Romney and Bain Capital what they were...Corporate Raiders. Since so many Republicans and others became fabulously wealthy doing it, they don't like that term. You know that somebody knows what they are doing or have done is morally wrong when the best defense they can come up with to critics is something along the lines of, "Well, it's part of our capitalist system. And it isn't illegal. I/we didn't break any laws."

The sad part is that Romney is probably the most centrist and pragmatic of all the candidates the Republicans put up. The far right can't stand him because he's not extremist enough. Who thinks we would have been better of if they had given the nomination to Newt Gingritch, Michelle Bachman or God forbid...Rick Santorum?
