I always have a problem with people stating their opinions or what they might hear unsubstantiated on other sites about the Broke Straight Boys site as actual facts. So to a large degree I stand with mikey:

1. How do forumites know info about the inner workings of Broke Straight Boys including models' compensation? Do they have a direct personal or financial relationship with the principals of the business in order to have access to such information? Guesses or surmises are not facts and it is my view that to traffic in that kind of information is irresponsible and misleading.

2. Same holds true with hiring practices. I'm guessing that in this business the owner might give a director certain parameters of what to pay a model based on the type of scene. If the director wants to go outside these parameters, he would have to get the okay from the producer, i.e. the owner. Same way with exclusive contracts. Since we have been told that "exclusive contracts" are rare at Broke Straight Boys then I think it is logical to presume that the owner would be the one that would have to sign off on that arrangement since it would be committing his company to a year of guaranteed compensation. Again these are my viewpoints based on knowledge of this kind of business set up in the real world, not porn. So I am not saying here that these inferences are proven facts.

3, And again, I ask another1 - not in a challenging way - what he means by spending considerable down time with Jimmy. What does that mean and under what circumstances? Knowing that would give credence to your assertions for those of us who don't necessarily doubt what you say, but just don't know what your descriptive words mean in this context. Thanks.


But I think all of us should be men enough to admit that when it comes to the topic of Broke Straight Boys and its inner workings what we write is just speculation unless we have DIRECT and FACTUAL knowledge which we can cite as proof. And again I'm guessing if anyone had such inside info it was given under terms of confidentiality not to be revealed.

after returning from the palm springs pride event, on Saturday, in November, 2011, reported that I joined jimmy and one of the vendors and went to a hotel restaurant and watched 2 college football games. I say that was enough downtime to reach an opinion about somebody. at long beach pride, in the 2 days there I got a chance to chat with the models during slow periods over a 16 hour timeframe. I wrote about this in 2011. I remember that jimmy, rob, and cody mentioned spending time with me. I never said, I spent a considerable amount of time, rather enough time. I count going to dinner and watching football together as spending downtime together.

My apologies to any members or even staff of the site who I may have annoyed or even possibly offended. I'm sorry. There is no way for me to know with any certainty the inner workings of the company's hiring process. My conclusions on that point are indeed based on suppositions and some deductive reasoning rather than any firsthand knowledge which I would not be privy to. So it's not fair for me to try to state it as fact.

As for his salary, which none of us will ever know for certain...my guesstimate of the $70k range was not stated as a fact but as a strong possibility based on deductive reasoning rather than any firsthand knowledge. So I do admit I could be wrong.

Again I apologize to anyone who might have taken offense.

Speaking for myself, I accept your apology. I think it is important for us all, when not giving proven facts to throw in little phrases like, "in my opinion" or "speaking for myself", but I do consider this matter resolved and this discussion over, at least for today. lol

here's why I call him a likeable dickhead. the conversation turned to the lakers. my roommate and I went almost every lakers game. became a lifetime fan of magic. jimmy said, magic couldn't carry kobi's shoes.
at one point, I thought ask for an autograph. rob and cole signed their names, then I gave jimmy a piece of paper. he signed his name! I gave him another one and he signed, Jimmy Johnson. we laughed! when I heard a model say the name, in an abft episode, I laughed!
were I to become aware of information that is not intended for publication, I would not post it on an open bulletin board.
when I post incorrect information and become aware of that fact, I try to correct the error. when ask to clarify a post, I try to find the more exact words.

Thanks for that inside personal exchange another1. It helps humanize the models to know how they act when the cameras are off. I know that Jimmy is a big sports fan, as we bonded over the Yankees on the forum and when I told him I love Duke basketball, he balked. I think he is from the Maryland area and the Terps and Blue Devils were big ACC rivals at that time.

I used to say and still say that I'd love to watch a game on TV with him drinking some beers, even though I'm not a big beer drinker but I would guess that he is. I honestly enjoyed his BTS more than I enjoyed his sex scenes. I just think he is a pretty cool kid and half of his bravado is just him exhibiting youthful testosterone. He reminds me of a kid named Dean that I worked with for over ten years, in personality and demeanor. Again another1, I am jealous of the downtime you got to spend with him.

I'm not as happy now as I was a few hours ago as the Jets beat the Giants in overtime. But I still love Peter & Johnny and that is what's really important.

You are quite right that when I or we put out controversial statements, that are actually only opinions based on subjective anecdotal evidence (rather than the real thing), without having direct proof to back them up, that I (and any others) should be very careful to state such things with the preface of, "in my opinion" or "I think it's likely that", or "speaking for myself I believe", etc, etc. That way everybody knows to take the statements with at least a grain of salt. If not more. Like Donald Trump! haha


Yes. lol Thank you Johnny and Another1. This seemingly innocuous thread didn't appear to have much long term potential when it started out. But it's managed to keep racking up a considerable number of posts with some lively discussion and debate...during what I believe at least some of us would consider a slow period here on the forum.
