I found this pic online today as I'm sure many of the rest of you have. It features the openly gay USA skier Gus Kensworthy. He endeared himself to me a bit by rebuffing V.P. Mike Pence's overture for a meeting. Kensworthy has said that he was bullied quite a bit in childhood for being gay. He takes exception to Pence's very public historical stance on gay conversion therapy as a former governor.

But anyway... To get to the good stuff, here we are. haha

I really admire him to taking that stance. I'm rooting for him.

Did you notice at The Olympic Opening, Pence and his not so lovely wife were the only two not standing for the entry of the two Koreas marching as one. Great ambassadors, eh? No cclass people.

The Pences may be saving their energy for Trump's huge military parade later this year. lol

I was amused and impressed by the fact that Gus and Shawn White were very chummy and friendly with each other during the Parade of Nations entrance and even sitting together in the stands to watch the performance together. I have no hopes that Shawn White is straight. So it impressed me all the more that he seems to have struck up a friendship with Gus with seemingly no trepidation for what others may say back home.

I must submit a small retraction here. My apologies. Louis has informed me that I have confused USA skier Gus Kensworthy, for Olympic skater Adam Rippon. Both are openly gay Olympic athletes. But it's Rippon who suffered from bullying and has refused to meet with Mike Pence.

I agree, Pence is the perfect poster boy for the great hypocrite party of family values. They snub gays and women and reach out to wife beaters, pedophiles, and elect pussy grabbers. The irony never ends with these guys and thier religious right supporters.

This is great. Thanks Tampa. Wouldn’t it be great if they got married. But anyway it’s nice to see some out athletes. Especially ones who aren’t in sequined outfits. Not that sequined outfits aren’t ok it’s just they play into the stereotypes.

Check out this love story between Gus Kenworthy and Matt Wilkas. Romantic old me shed a few happy tears for them. Curious gay boy in me is trying to figure out which one is the top. My boyfriend and I both think it’s Matt but he is the theater guy and Gus is the athlete. But he and I play against type. I’m sure most people think the interior designer is getting plowed by the cowboy when in reality it’s the other way arround. But Matt is older and a bit more daddy masculine so I’m going for Gus looking for daddy and my partner thinks Gus is the bottom because he is a dare devil. I guess he identifies with that.
