Ryan Phillippe

So, after that clip, which gave me all the feels, I watched a playlist of all the Billy Douglas scenes from One Life to Live until they ran out, and it was an interesting watch. I had previously seen (around 2008) an 05-06 coming out story of a similar character, Luke Snyder, on the show As the World Turns in the same YouTube clip format. This one was very different in some ways, and it's very interesting how much difference there was in depicting coming out on a soap between 1992 and 2006.

The Billy story has brand new character Billy befriending a regular character and then becoming front and center, while his parents start out as out-of-touch wannabe aristocrats, but eventually his mother shifts to in-denial for a time but loving and his father is a raging homophobe (so far). Luke is a preestablished character who gained a story arc. Luke's story didn't have anyone overtly rejecting him, though his mother had a hard time accepting him (she was also in a coma for months). Luke eventually even got a boyfriend and kissed on camera. It doesn't seem Billy ever got there.

Billy and that priest (who's fucking a random woman, which is hinted at as being not allowed) from the clip get pulled into a weird fight where the priest is accused of trying to seduce Billy. There are times the story about the surrounding characters is almost interesting. When the priest refuses to answer the question if he's gay or not because of a right to privacy (which had good intentions) I found the priest-thing made me a little bit on the side of the bigots. If the church holds homosexuality is wrong, then as a member of the church, I kind of think you need to be above board in that regard, whether the board is a morally right position to start with or not.

I was looking through my morning newspaper today. (This shows you how old I am as only old people actually read a print version of a newspaper today, lol). But I saw a promotional pic of Ryan Phillippe who is appearing in an ABC program called "Big Sky". He still looks very good at age 46.

However I first became aware of him in the 1999 film, "Cruel Intentions", and I must say that at that age I think Ryan Phillippe was as good looking as a young man can be. Exactly my type of guy!!!

And while I am not an "ass man" per se, this is one delectable looking pair of buttocks!!!!!
