One of the great things about this forum Sparty is that it is all here, from day one, and if you click on David's name you can read his posts from when he was here and he was the most open and engaging director we had here, as he would share info and tell us stories and debate with us regarding all the boys he hired and housed and filmed. He is a great guy.

Unfortunately from my point of view, he and Mark had a falling out and he was relieved of his duties in 2011, when Mark no longer employed David & Eddie, (D&E Studios) who had produced all of the content for the site prior to April 1, 2011, when Clay was brought in to be the new producer. You saw Clay on Broke Straight Boys-TV episode 1. He had been filming College Dudes and remained doing both sites until his departure, when he was replaced by Johnny Robins, followed by Damian Christopher and now the combo of Sha and Bryce.

Wow, I did the research as you suggested and I am really glad I did. I find myself getting on the forum and reading so much way back into the early days its so much fun to read the postings and then see a familiar name every now and again. It is addicting and so time consuming however worth it.

That really pleases me Sparty that you are getting into the good old days of this forum, and that you can appreciate what a great guy David was when he was here from his postings. To my mind, it was the golden era of Broke Straight Boys :thumbup1:

That's pretty accurate Sparty. Sanitizing it just a bit, David and Mark had a parting of the ways when Mark wanted to take Broke Straight Boys in a different direction. The dismissal of David was controversial at the time. Good men still have differences of opinion on whether the site was better off or worse for the change of directors. Mikey's timeline above shows the progression since then. David's time here is considered by some to be the "Golden Era" of the site. For myself I appreciate a lot of his work to this day. However there have also been some very good scenes and models since then too.

Among us longer term members you'll hear us toss around terms like "Broke Straight Boys-1" which means we're talking the site itself or any scenes or models filmed during David's time here. When we speak of "Broke Straight Boys-2" we are usually meaning the content filmed after David left and Clay took over. Broke Straight Boys-2 had a very very rough start for about the first 8 months and was also full of the omnipresent Jimmy Johnson, who I didn't care for. Overall though the Clay era of Broke Straight Boys-2 (IMO) was decent and had some great models. Clay also however had issues and baggage that he brought to the table.

I think Johnny did a really good job taking over for Clay in Broke Straight Boys-3. With Bryce and Sha we are probably into a Broke Straight Boys-4 era. I don't know. lol I think Bryce and Sha have done some very good work for us too. :)
