For me, it has NOTHING to do with them being REALLY straight. This site has always been about getting to know the personalities behind the porn and being engaged by them. The difference from other sites is that they are not all so overly 'porned-out' and over-doing their performance. The straight/gay identity seems to be the only not truly authentic thing about them. (which is probably driven by forum discussions like this.) Otherwise, when someone says they are here to earn money to hot-rod their car, or buy a motorcycle or something, I believe it is sincere.
Site-name (
Broke Straight Boys) aside, this site just seems to filter out the guys who would probably use the money they earn to remodel their apartment to look like a mini-version of Paris-Hilton's bedazzled clubhouse or something equally prissy. I mean, who here on the forum gets equally ANGRY that "Waffle House" sells ANYTHING other than waffles? or that you can not actually buy a target at TARGET? (They have NEVER sold archery equipment or guns as far back as I recall...) In the words of Buddha, a good massage therapist, or someone getting you try anal sex for the first time -- 'Breathe, relax, and enjoy the moment'
The guys who stick around all seem like genuinely 'good-guys' who sincerely grow to enjoy each other and who would be truly fun for a normal human being to hang around with even while NOT having sex. They all seem very real and approachable, and like they ENJOY and like each other.
I have plenty of straight friends who FAR 'out-gay' me, and also several gay friends who no-one would ever assume was gay. The spectrum of human behavior is determined by MANY more factors beyond simply who gives you a boner. Over the years I've had SO many people being actually surprised that I was gay, and yet I have NEVER behaved in any way un-true to my personality to present any false version of myself. It just may conflict with the story they've told themselves.
Bottom line, I've just always enjoyed the genuine-ness of the guys' interactions with each-other and the sort of 'behind-the-scenes' feel of this site. I've NEVER deluded myself that all they guys were or needed to be straight. For me they just needed to feel REAL. They do, and that's why I stick around.
