I love the Brokestraight boys site for awhile now but wonder why there are no 1080p downloadable videos. There is 1080p streaming but no 1080p downloadable videos. The best video you can download is 720p at a 2.5 meg bit rate. I would love 1080p downloads that have at least 6-7 meg bit rates. Many of the other gay porn websites have offered 1080p downloads for a very long time such as Corbin, Chaos Men, Helix, Sean Cody, Boycrush, Nextdoor. I would definitely consider subscribing on a month to month basis if 1080p downloads were offered.

I guess it's never been something "I" have been too concerned about? Personally, the viewing of scenes I've downloaded have been adequate, everything I play back on does a fine job. I mean really, compared to videos of "yester year" LOL. I (and this is just my position) would probably be reluctant to download everything in 1080p just for the sake of space? But, that's just my position

Thanks for the comments so far. The difference between 720p and 1080p is very huge. Going from the current Brokestraight boys video downloads of 720p and 2.5 meg video bit rates to 6 to 7 meg video bit rates and 1080p will be very noticeable and a definite and major improvement which is why other sites offer it. I love Brokestraight boys and have for so many years but I have seen the beauty of 1080p video downloads and while the current 720p video downloads offered by Brokestraight boys is not too bad you can tell that it can be so much better, especially in the age of 4K resolutions were you expect gay porn websites to at the very least offer both 1080p streaming as well as 1080p downloads.

Isn't "High Quality mp4" the same as 1080p? That is what I use to download.
I am very glad that you asked. No the High quality mp4 download option is not 1080p. It is even much lower than the HD (high def) mp4 download option at 540p resolution and at a 1.5 meg bit rate.
Here is a summary of the two main current download formats offered
HD (high def)mp4-Currently the highest quality download offered. It is at 720p resolution and a 2.5 meg video bit rate.
High quality mp4- This is an even lower resolution download offered. It is 540p resolution at a 1.5 meg video bit rate which is slightly a little better than standard resolution which is 480p.
They need to offer a Super High Quality HD option which will be 1080p at a 6 to 7 meg video bit rate as is the standard HD video bit rate at 1080p resolution offered at many other sites. In video the higher the video bit rate the higher quality of video that you will receive if done well.

Seems to me, your exceptions answer your question. Some of us can't get enough of some models, and some members will move on to other sites, so they take their favorite scenes with them. You're not dumb at all Johnny. You can't know everything like our Yankee fan from Brooklyn (not naming names of course). lol
I usually download my videos as I am not used to streaming video on the website. Since I then stream to my 4K 60 inch TV, the higher quality video files such as 1080p are best for doing that.
1080p downloads at a great video bit rate of 6 megs or higher would be just right and would definitely be a great addition to this site especially since Brokestraight boys is celebrating their 10th anniversary and with their recent site redesign.

I always download my vids because I can use a better video playing app to watch it with. If I hit pause on the video in the streaming mode I get the giant start arrow in the center of the screen. I also cannot fast forward the vid. But if I download it and watch it on WMP I can pause, fast-forward and so on with no problem.
Then I can delete the video after I'm done so it doesn't take up too much memory space on my computer. If I want to re-watch it later on , I just re-download it. lol

Sometimes a visual comparison like the one below can help. It's like the difference between a photo in a newspaper, and one in a high-quality magazine.
720x480 was basically the resolution of VHS tapes and broadcast TV. Even on an old big screen TV prior to HD, they all had the same number of pixels, just some were really spread out and only good for watching from quite a distance. Now screens can pack a lot of pixels into a small space and images can look amazingly crisp and vivid. Soon the world will be going entirely 4K which is basically 4x the pixels of 1080 HD. It DOES make a difference.
Or, depending on who you are, you can look at it like the thread count of sheets, low thread count is like low resolution. Too low and you are sleeping on a burlap sack - that's 720x480. Higher quality 600 thread count is much smoother and more luxurious. Your eyes feel that HD visual quality the same way your body feels it in the sheets.

You are definitely correct about the difference in visual quality that 1080p will have over 720p or lower resolutions. 4K is the new thing and I am definitely enjoying what awesome 4K can bring but for now 1080p should at the very least be the highest download option offered until 4K becomes mainstream in a year or two. I hope management at Brokestraight boys will tell us if 1080p is coming soon or not. I definitely would consider being a long term subscriber if this happens. So far the poll indicates that more members are in favor of having 1080p downloads than not especially awesome 1080p with 6 to 7 meg video bit rates.

I think it's great that you are proposing a change for a higher resolution product for everyone to enjoy, but I really don't see the need or purpose for a "vote". Why would anyone vote against it? We don't have to use it if we choose not to, so there is no down side for anyone if it happens.Awesome! We are at 80% and 8 out of 10 voters that want 1080p downloads. Lets keep voting so that we can show that we want 1080p downloads. Imagine your favorite Brokestraight boys in 1080p resolution.
You've made your suggestion. Management is looking into implementing it, so to me that's the end of the discussion, but if people want to vote, I don't get it, but vote away?????.

This is a little off topic but I hope you will indulge me for a moment. Since you watch your scenes on a 60" 4k, and you know how you can see everything much bigger?......I ask you to go back to the scene with Antonio and Tyler for me, and at 10:05 into the scene, was there some "fake fucking"? Now, let me put a disclaimer in there. I know that when filming, there are good reason that stop and starts, breaks, editing etc...take place(as young guys probably would cum a lot quicker, giving a shorter shoot if not..) but, examine that scene. I thought Tyler's dick was soft at the time but, there's an engorged penis which looks like it belonged to Antonio and, it wasn't in Tyler?
I guess that's one advantage of watching porn on a big screen? LOL.......I may be wrong but, wanted someone else's perspective.
