What BSB is lacking, (in my own personal opinion)

The only scenes I've watched in recent weeks or months feature model's I enjoy who are currently Ronan Kennedy, Tanner & Gage Owens. In the reviews of the scenes that I don't watch I am seeing a lot of descriptions of the scenes as "boring and average". And I just heard privately from another member who told me he is leaving Broke Straight Boys due to the lack of hot guys and scenes.

To me it is simple that the most popular guys in the history of Broke Straight Boys are very good looking. Look at the current top five models according to the ratings. These guys all were young, good looking and new to gay porn when they arrived here.

I look at the more recently introduced models and they are not up to the caliber of the classic looking Broke Straight Boys Yes, I want "believably straight" guys but if I can't get that, I at least want above average looking guys, who are not recycled from other gay porn sites. I constantly see young hot guys walking down the street, at the gym, or on the beaches in Florida. I would think that it wouldn't be that hard to find a few of these guys across America that might be interested in giving this site a try. Maybe not, but it is just my thoughts on the current state of Broke Straight Boys

I thought of going for six, but I wanted to keep my personal preferences out and go with just five. lol

I am not a fan of Vadim Black either, but all of the top five are HOT!!!! At one time "Straight" meant a lot to me here, but that ship sailed a while back, so now HOT is what I look for to enjoy a scene and that is what is lacking in recent times, in my opinion.

Now I am off to the gym to recruit the next HOT Broke Straight Boys! lol

Looks are very subjective, so I've never given the model rating here much credence other than that is how the members vote. There are some in the top 10 that I think WTF? about, and some absent from the top ten whom I also wonder WTF? about. All just personal taste.

So true that looks are subjective, but among the top rated models there is a general look that seems to be lacking in the latest guys brought in here. Do a side by side comparison. I see a difference, but perhaps everyone doesn't see what I see which is fine as well.

Looking at this from totally a straight perspective, physical looks are probably the biggest draw to bring fans In. Performance or lack of will either hold fans or drive them elsewhere. Big rock hard handsome muscle men are readily abundant and found on a lot of sites. I see the real plus for Broke Straight Boys is the boy next door concept Joe average in many cases, that is convinced to do things he probably would not do. I have been told that many of these models are out right or at least have bi leanings. As long as you can remain bringing in totally straight guys or at least not openly gay acting models the concept of the Broke Straight Boys should be successful. As was pointed out there are many sites to go to. I have not heard of any with this exact concept. john69

And, In my honest opinion.....based on the fact that the first scene release date was (according to the episode listings) April 6, 2006 and here it is January 28, 2017....By my estimation as far as porn sites go.....that's successful! Many a porn site has come and gone in 11 years, just like fans/members/models. Some of the ones who've been around just as long don't even offer fresh scenes or updates? Very few if any offer the amount of Bonus material, the opportunity to bitch and moan to the site management and actually get a response, or have a Tech to help resolve site related issues? Not to mention......this Forum. I still come for the porn and I'm enjoying my membership perks....sorry for those who aren't

I agree with all of the points that you've made Betu about the benefits of membership here, and I appreciate that we get three updates, plus behind the scenes as well as bonus sites and a helpful friendly, courteous tech staff and an owner who allows us the freedom to express ourselves on this forum. I most definitely enjoy all of that and that is why I am a continuous, loyal paying member of the site as I have been since 2008. And I often thank Mark and his staff for all they do for us.

However being that we have the freedom to discuss and "bitch" on this forum, I am only bringing up that I am seeing less positive feedback on the forum regarding many current scenes and models than in the past and several of my off forum friends are not happy with the current porn here and one told me yesterday he is cancelling and others have also expressed their displeasure to me lately. I am not talking about everyone and obviously there are members who are quite happy with the current stuff, and as I keep saying, I'm not going anywhere myself. But I as I read more negative feedback lately, and lower model ratings, I wanted to point out what I consider to be the difference between the latest crop of new models compared to the much more highly rated models of the past. The owner of the site sets the tone for this forum and I am totally grateful for the freedom to honestly express what I feel. A large part of my fun on the forum is talking about stuff like this.

Well we saw Brandon and Tanner on that video. So that leaves Adam, Johnny, or Vadim Black. I'd love for it to be Adam or Johnny. If it is Vadim Black after everything he said about Broke Straight Boys and the membership when he left in a snit then that would be the height of hypocrisy on both his part and the company's and really might make me consider leaving (not that that would be upsetting to management - lol!!!).

Stowe, Please do NOT leave. You are the conscience of the forum. Yes, Vadim Black is coming back. We've already seen his pictures on twitter. I'm not thrilled about it either, as I am not a fan of him as a performer or a person, but you've been here with me through good times and lean times before and it would not be the same to not have you here in forumland. Thank you Sha! While I too would love to see Adam or Johnny return, I'm thrilled never the less that you are bringing back the guys who the fans have rated among the top ever. We need a breath of fresh air to "cleanse our palates", so to speak, after some of the recent guys on the site including one who is currently ranked at 3.16 and is one of the lower ranked models ever.

Getting Brandon back is a real coup as while he started here, he has become quite a big star in the industry and I guess this disproves the old song "How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm After they've seen Paris?" lol

Well I guess that was "my bad"! After reading the post by Mikeyank, and then reading the reply by PeterH specifically the portion I highlighted and then reading Your post ScottA, "Looks being subjective" and some models in the top 10 and bottom 10... were points I agreed with. I then attempted to reply to MikeYank's post to include Peter's and your post by checking the "+. When I clicked reply, there were no quotes so, I canceled. Tried it again and realized I needed to reply with quote. After posting my comment, maybe I should have unchecked one of the quotes so that they would have appeared differently in the final reply?

I tend to read the comments as a continuous "dialogue" (which is not always the case as the topic of discussion can change dramatically from the original with one post). But I assure you, my inclusion of your comment was neither intentionally shady or suspect since, I actually agreed with it. I apologize for my use of check and click. Mistakes and misinterpretations can result from quoting and sometimes not quoting or putting in quotation marks? You know what I mean.....you had a similar situation recently after a post by "Johnny" ? The was intentional to emphasize "sorry for those who aren't"

Again that shows how individual tastes can vary as Johnny Forza is more muscular than I prefer but to me Adam Baer is the correct choice as the number one rated model here. To my way of thinking, he has it all!!!

Although his partner in this scene ain't exactly chopped liver either, in my humble opinion! lol
