I had the great pleasure of meeting Aiden in person one time. He shared with me, (exact quote here)... "I started out straight. And ended up gay." So what began as a totally straight guy doing just Gay For Pay, strictly all about the cash...eventually changed the paradigm of his whole life. In spite of what many of us gay guys would like to believe about every straight guy....I think his situation is rather rare. But obviously, not impossible.

I think Diesal was one model who started out mostly straight...curved a little bit to the bi side, (for pay)...and then went back to the straight life. I still think he was one of the straight-er models of the site.

Thanks for sharing that with us Tampa, as you have met both Diesal and the Aiden you pictured above. Neither boy's situation is surprising to me at all. I believe that all of us have pre-determined ranges of sexuality, (Kinsey scale range), and that all Broke Straight Boys models who did more than let another guy touch their cock or suck them are at least Kinsey ones or twos. So no "regular" Broke Straight Boys model was ever totally straight, (Kinsey 0), but many lived the straight lifestyle and perhaps used the Broke Straight Boys experience as a way to discover their true inner selves.

The difference between then and now is that the majority today have already "discovered" their own sexuality well before they ever appeared on the site. What I miss is their journey of discovery unfolding before our eyes. That was the "secret sauce" of BSB1 to me.

There are all kinds of guys who consider themselves straight but end up doing gay sex. There are those in prison who are forced or just into doing the gay guys because that’s all there is. When they get out they go right back to women. That’s called situational homosexuality. That was supposed to have happened a lot in the old west with cowboys and trappers and no women for many miles. That’s not too different from some down and out street kids or dope adicts. I met one once who had a girlfriend but he said he let some guy fuck him for a lot of dope. I made the same deal with him. He was a nice young man. Blond very smooth I was with him a day or so. He even kissed me and I ended up fucking him realy long and hard and he took it like a champ but he never got hard. He told me it was just for the dope.

On the other hand I’ve met lots of bi curious guys. They haven’t done it but are willing to try. Many of them said they just wanted to see what it was like. Often they wanted to bottom. These guys seem to have a fantasy about being the girl. Role reversal. Butbwe knkw there are even straight guys who like being fucked by a girl with a strap on. There are manny many version. I think they used to get many more of these curios straight tiles in the past. Some guys don’t realize they are gay until they try it. I knew I was attracted to men but I’ve known several guys who didn’t really realize it until they actually had sexual experience with guys. Y boyfriend is like that. He still doesn’t cruise guys. He likes girls and straight sex but he sure does like to get fucked also. I just think Broke Straight Boys doesn’t try hard enough to find these newbies anymore. Probably its time constraints but I sure wish they would make a bigger effort.

It seems that way to me too Rep, but of course it is always different looking in from the outside to know exactly what is going on with Sha and Bryce and for us to understand the whole recruiting process today as opposed to yesterday. I am curious to see two of the newbies Mark has shared with us on his "Shoot Week" thread. We all have our own criteria of what and who is hot, but for me, besides being cute, being on the straightish side of the spectrum and being inexperienced especially to the gay for pay circuit go a long way............"but that's just me". lololol

I think it might be less rare than we believe... Rep and I always talk about guys who needed an 'excuse' for their actions when they are having difficulties in understand or accept their own sexuality. And I think that for some me time, Broke Straight Boys was their perfect excuse. The money was a main goal they could understand, and obeying David's orders were just part of the job.

But a lot changed over the years... And the excuses changed too. "I did it because I was drunk", "I did it to fulfill somebody else's fantasy" are good enough now...

And, to do it in a party, drunk, with you friend is much more 'secure' than to to it on camera and have the register out there, on the internet for other people to find it. Who is not afraid of getting caught? The ones who are already out of the closet, who has nothing to lose if someone find out and who are really secure about their sexuality.

I think it makes much more difficult to find guys who are really straight (or curious) to do their discoveries in front of a camera. Is it still possible? Probably yes, but it would demand a lot of time and effort. Time and effort that would be worth, IF most viewers wanted that.

This guys will have restrictions, they will ask for more money to do a few things and the audience doesn't seem to be willing to see this 'evolution' as far as we have two beautiful guys and they are fucking each other it is ok...

I have read people here complaining about the interviews and the solo (the solo isn't that special for me too...), but that was supposed to be the guy first experience with the camera, doing something he is used to to, the first step... A real first timer has to be very very confident to have all kinds of sex in front of a camera on day 1. And straight curious guys are not like that!

My son who is sixteen says people are just not treated badly or bulled as they were when I was growing up in the sixties and seventies. Its more of a style choice and its cool. Now its important to add that i grew up in a big city in Canada, and we are in San Francisco now. We lived in a smaller town in the southwest where he attended school through 3rd grade and was tortured every day. Not once has it happened since moving here. So geography (still a fairly large swath of america) with be a factor.

That’s exactly right. We love to make up a story for the ones we see! Like the big butch looking guy we saw rafting with a beautiful girl and two really cute guys. He seemed to be paying lots of attention to all. We joked he is probably doing all three! But you never know they might be doing him. Anyway from my early days as a young gay male, I was trying to figure out where my attractions came from. Like shrinks are always analyzing themselves. Anyway I was always curious what people like and what experience in thier life got them where they are. Why hustlers I met were hustling? Why big ex-football players I was dating were fascinated with what it feels like to be the girl. These sane guys were straight tops in thier regular life but with me a gay guy they could explore thier feminine side. Human sexuality is a very varied and complicated thing. One of my good friends who liked to date younger guys always complained that they were all so fucked up. I said sure they are. We all are, you just have to find someone who is fucked up in a compatible way with you.

When Bart and I first started corresponding it was over questions like what do I think makes a guy a bottom or a top and stuff like that. Issues that made me think. She has grown up with two mothers and a variety of gay people in her life. I Never thought I would be discussing these things in such a thoughtful way with a woman, but life throws you strange curves. I’ve met a lot of nice people and some very good friends on Broke Straight Boys Who in the world would really expect that. I never did when I finally got up my nerve to start posting after a year or so of membership.
