Webcam Live Shows: Love 'em or leave 'em?

Mark posted that Broke Straight Boys is now offering live webcam shows. I'm not big on solos, since I generally find them boring. I'll watch if they include an interview to let me hear the model speak and get to know him a little. There have been a few that I just watched from start to finish without skipping through it, but those are rare. You have to be something special for me to be impressed in a solo.

That said, I have spent a small amount of time watching webcams. In that time, I have found only a couple of models that were actually interesting; where I didn't feel like I was being hustled to "go private". Otherwise, the models I've seen look bored, totally ignore you, have regular 'admirers' that they pay more attention to, and most recently, if I didn't go private in 10 mins, they disconnected me. One time I did go private with a model, and was totally turned off. He looked bored, and was just going thru the motions. Hardly worth the money. OTOH, I have found Active Duty live shows to be entertaining, and the models, interactive. But that's a paid membership scenario.

My point being, webcams seem to be popular, but I just don't see what the fuss is all about. Can anyone share some of their experiences, good or bad? I really feel like I'm missing out on something.

If there were no porn sites readily available, then I would see a need. But, concerning webcam shows, I think Rhett Butler said it best..."Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!" I don't wish to appear to be anti-social but that goes for a lot of the "Social Network Media" as well.

They are too expensive, to talk to someone I don't know, and never will know. The models can also completely block out the people that are on for free, so unless you want to pay a lot of money, there is no point.

I agree, I don't generally watch any webcam shows either because it's always a guy jacking off solo which is boring as heck, and it's not even downloadable nor are webcam shows high quality which makes them even less desirable...but to each their own.

My sentiments are similar to Balboa's. I have been a member of Active Duty for many years and enjoy their live shows because they actually interact with everyone and it is much more of a personal involvement beyond mere sexual gratification. This is not true of most live shows. If the Broke Straight Boys format follows the AD format then they will be fun but if they don't, I could not be bothered to watch frankly.

I found some of the guys tobe rude all about the money,some would ask first thing if I wont'ed to pvt without ask my name .Not a place where I well spend my money.

The reason that you didn't have a wonderful experience on the webcams is because you haven't been on there with me! I don't think the "solo" aspect is what is so appealing about the webcam. I believe it is more because people can have control of the model in that time and make them do things they wouldn't be able to see anywhere else. Me personally, I have found the greatest enjoyment by appealing to the "Role-Play" and "Fetish" type people because I can fulfill there fantasies that not even any of my porn has had in it.

I think if you find the right model, you would have a blast. But there are a ton of boring models on there. I was in the top 1% of performers within my first week because I was doing things way different then the other models.

Well, Rob, I have to say that's no surprise to me! You actually care about your work and have a work ethic; a quality which not many who are doing webcams have. So I have no doubt I would enjoy it. However, I'm still not sold on the whole idea. It's just not for everybody, but I applaud you for bringing some much-needed excitement to an otherwise boring, and one-sided experience. It does take a special person to make this medium fun and enjoyable.
