Web-Monkey

I don't want to play any more. The site is not working for me. When this happens I leave. For those I have talked to over the months on the forum, stay well and prosper.

Tim where art thou?

On the Internet I happened to find a guy that shared your streaming problem with the Safari browser.

"I noticed this happened sometime in the last month. I think an Apple update (or a safari update) removed flash from safari."

Suggested solution:
Try troubleshooting the Flash plugin ..

Quit Safari.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All

Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

Very important to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin before reinstalling.

Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache

Now try a video.

BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.

And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Robert, we have talked about other issues. I have enjoyed that. I have no patience with paying for stuff that does not work for me. Getting smoke blowed up my ass (American expression) is not something I deal with well. Broke Straight Boys either works for me or it does not. I just cancelled my membership to the site, going back to 2005. Been here a long time, like from the beginning. Should I, as a customer, try keep up with the upgrades. Fine for the company and the new folks, but not so good for the rest of us. I costs us money to do that. Maybe just leave it alone.

Mark, you fix it on your end. You have more money than me. Scorpio can fix it.

You have every right to do whatever you feel like Tim, but I hate to see you go. Here's what happened. Yes Scorpio and WebMonkey worked very hard on the Broke Straight Boys site last month... but guess what so were the programmers of Apple's Safari.

The guy on the web that suddenly finds himself with streaming errors is not a Broke Straight Boys member. His Safari streaming errors can't be caused by Broke Straight Boys
This is what the experts say: "I noticed this happened sometime in the last month. I think an Apple update (or a safari update) removed flash from safari." They blame the Apple update.

Can you stream Flash video with Safari on other sites, besides Broke Straight Boys? That's the question!

Tried youtube.com recently?

Tim, Sorry to hear you are having trouble. The only thing "added" was a flash player for streaming options. Downloads have not been changed on either site, either in how they are delivered or offered. Per Robert's suggestion, could it be streaming/flash in general?

The 'Stream Video' option in the red circle was added recently. Nothing really changed on Broke Straight Boys As a PC trouble shooter I suspect your gremlin hides in Safari.
