I know this is late in the day or night, but I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my fellow Veteran's for the service they performed while in the military, past and present.
Happy Veteran's Day to each one of you.
I am so happy that I had the opportunity to serve in the Amy for four years and complete one year of overseas duty in Korea. All of this occurred from 1976-1980.
I enlisted in Los Angeles and went to Ft Sill, OK for basic training and AIT. Also spent time at Ft. Lee, VA doing some training before heading out here to Ft. Lewis, WA and served with an Combat Aviation Battalion before they joined their company in Germany permanently. I ETS's from Ft. Lewis, WA in 1980 and was proud to serve my country and thankful that my time in was during peace time.
I will always hold a special place in my heart for my fellow soldiers both past and present.
Thanks to everyone for serving to defend our country. I may not approve of why our armed forces are overseas in the Arab Countries, but I will always keep our men and women in uniform in my thoughts and prayers for a safe return home after they have done their time overseas.
Okay, I've rambled on long enough.
HAPPY Veteran's Day
