My thoughts are that France and Holland were extremely dense in broaching this only days before the commencement of the Obama presidency. Other than that, the only reason I can think of for them to do it now is that France, a country barely able to hide it's major disdain for the Bush administration, wanted to make the US look bad one more time. It's the Bush appointees at the UN who balked at the resolution. You just have to think that Barack's boys will be more insightful in their treatment of the subject.
Another thought: we've got a bunch of dudes in here who write well and reason fairly lucidly. Would you guys, in concert with the boys at Blu if they are down fo' it, like to petition Barack H. as a collective?
