Whenever a new scene is released, I check the "Coming Soon XXX Updates" for what will be the third upcoming scene and this rather cryptic description is listed on our homepage.

From The Broke Straight Boys Vault Scene 1

As we have nine days until it is released, I was wondering what you folks think it may be ?????

With Covid though it's not surprising that they are trying to stretch out what content they do already have in the vaults. And I doubt that this is something unique to Broke Straight Boys right now. I'm sure there are other sites offering fewer and/or weaker updates than we are still getting here.

"From the Broke Straight Boys Vault" can be taken many ways. It could be as Jay suggested a "left over" scene never released from a previous shoot week, or a re-release of an old scene kind of like my "Another Blast From the Past" series, but perhaps dressed up with some commentary or a "directors cut" with scenes cut from the original.

I am a bit confused how Broke Straight Boys is handling the pandemic. The four "stuck at home" solo scenes with experienced veterans have not been a hit. Then we had a shoot week where the models discussed the virus, so it was shot after the pandemic breakout began. That included Gage Owens, Lucas, Jos Alvarez, Chase and Zeke. Then on the thread about another site doing a "spitting" video, including Chase Daniels and Masyn Thorne, Mark commented, "I hope everyone was tested and this is why I am thankful we have quite a few scenes in the can. We hope to shoot again soon but only when we can test everyone properly". And of course James Dawn told us that he refuses to take a test with a swab in his nose, so I am totally confused.........

But sometimes I like not knowing everything as it keeps me tuning in to find out. And it makes for discussion here on the forum.

I think most states have started opening back up. Universal Studios in Florida has even reopened. There is no reason not to resume filming at this point, as Georgia pretty much acts like nothing every happened...lol. Of course every pre caution should be taken, and I would even go so far as to suggest the models quarantine and retest after they return home. I would actually think now would be a good time to try and pull in some models that people have been asking for who might have wanted to come in before but their schedules didn’t work out. For example, Landon. Maybe these guys haven’t been able to go back to work or school completely and they have the time and need the money. Maybe guys like Sky Clesi & Jake Spencer would consider coming out of retirement for one more week...lol....wishful thinking.
As far as re-releasing an old scene and passing it off as new content.....wow. That would be disappointing. Honestly I’d rather watch some of the guys make a video about their lives at home and what they do in their spare time than to watch a scene I can just go back and watch already on my own. I know they don’t like to share content between the sister sites, but I’d rather watch any of the College Dudes scenes featuring models that have already been introduced on Broke Straight Boys (Casey and Malakai is a good one). Like any of the Masyn Thorne, Richie, Malakai, Casey Owens, or Michael Boston scenes. And vice versa. Share a few of Broke Straight Boys scenes with College Dudes Stamp a message at the beginning stating, “due to filming restrictions under the current Covid circumstances, we have decided to provide this scene from our sister site”. It’s better than just re-releasing a scene from 10 years ago. Just my opinion.

Yeah, but about those College Dudes scenes. I’ve seen a few of them. The scene where Casey Owens fucks Malakai White outside on the back deck is a good one and doesn’t have shit to do with going to college....lmao. There are just a few College Dudes scenes where Broke Straight Boys wouldn’t have to introduce the models to us as they have already been introduced and have model stat pages already.

Since the pandemic set in, I've been hoping for something like this, if only because the CollegDudes sister site does a "Throwback Tuesday" and has posted some sensational scenes from the past. Broke Straight Boys has huge archive with lots of gems but it takes a lot of time to find them. Of course we all want to get back to filming new scenes as soon as possible, but this beats solo scenes from home in my opinion.

On June 20, we will begin the Broke Straight Boys 100 days of summer. Every day we will update the site with something new! We'll still have our regular updates with our most recent Broke Straight Boys models, but during this time of being at home more, we wanted to give you a little something extra. We have dug deep into our vault and found scenes that we recorded over the years that were never released on Broke Straight Boys.

These scenes may be stuff we shot for another site that never got off the ground; it may be a Broke Straight Boys audition from back in the day or from a hard drive we recently found. The content will be more on the vintage side of things, so you'll see more condoms, but the scenes are solid and hot enough to qualify for some serious summer sizzle. One hundred days - a new update every single day!

We still have scenes in the can, so you'll get new content all summer long, and as soon as it's safe to begin production again, we will. The adult film industry moratorium is still active. We filmed the week before the country went into lockdown and before the industry halt, so we were better prepared than most. While mentioned above that the country seems to be getting back to business as usual, the risk for our models is very high. There is no option to wear a face mask and maintain 6 feet of separation to film porn. Hollywood isn't filming intimate scenes for the same reason. We do have same day COVID testing becoming available in Miami and Los Angeles for adult performers. It's still very complicated, though. If we fly eight models in and even one of them tested positive, all models and staff would be potentially exposed and quarantined with no production possible. We are working to think of ways to have a model test in the morning and remain wholly isolated until the results come back and then maintain quarantine through production. It's very complicated, and the testing accuracy (false negatives and false positives) is not where it needs to be for this company to put our people in harm's way. We will resume filming when we have the confidence to do so! In the meantime, we are leaving no stone unturned to keep things around here sizzling this summer.

I feel the exact same way as Jay stated, Mark. Thank you for your transparency and for finding an innovative way to present us with new content even from years ago. And quite frankly seeing new content from the days of Broke Straight Boys-1 and the early days of Broke Straight Boys-2 is even more interesting to me than much of the stuff from the experienced porn guys of today. I am now looking forward to June 10th and the following 99 days!
