Some of you may remember a murder case out of Pennsylvania involving Brian Kocis the owner of Cobra Video. He's the one who gave Brent Corrigan his start in the business, though it is alleged that Brent was only 18 when he did either the first or the first two videos for the company. Kocis owned Brent's name and he is the one who made that name extremely popular in gay circles. Brent left Cobra and tried to use his name. Kocis sued him. While that lawsuit was proceeding Brent was contacted by Joseph Kerekes, the owner of Boy Batter out of Virginia Beach, VA. He wanted Brent to come and do some work there. Brent was willing to discuss working for them but said that given the lawsuit he would have to use another name. Kerekes sent his boyfriend, a young man named Harlon Cuadrow to PA. to murder Kocis. Brent knew nothing about this and in fact, the week prior to the murder, he and Kocis had settled the suit and Brent had legal ownership of his stage name.

Just a bit of trivia about porn stage names from around ten years ago.

That is the story and it may well be true. There is also some dispute about who provided Brent with that fake ID. Kochis had a state conviction for filming and having sex with a couple of young models who were under 18. But when Brent showed up in PA for filming, he had lied to his mother about what exactly he was doing. He had told her he was doing a short internship for a film company. On arrival, Brent did a solo and then later in the week, did some scenes that appeared in Schoolboy Crush and others that appeared in a subsequent video, whose name I don't recall. What I do remember is that he appeared in Schoolboy Crush with Brent Everett, one of my all-time favorite porn performers, and another scene with the two of them in a bed was filmed at the same time but appeared later.
