Supp People!!
i have been super busy and and had a break so i thought what the hell let me write something on here:)
my job involves working at security at concerts and now that summer is over and most of the concerts are now done and over with i kinda thought that most of all the concerts that i worked at and got to see kinda sucked but the best concert i have been to was last year for the honda civic tour with blink 182 and my chemical romance so what was your favorite concert you have been to? cant wait to hear what your answers are!! :)

Trey !

Concerts

Hi Trey:
2 of my favorite from here in the burgh were Shawn Colvin ( in early summer) and the civic light opera presentation of "Jersey Boys" - side note - also if you can get to see it - the animated musical/show on "How to Train your Dragon" - took my cousin and her son to see it - animation of life size dragons was impressive.
PS where located in PA ?

Hey Trey,
That's funny, I was just talking to my daughter about how concerts are so different now; I was born in 1964. The first concert I went to was in '76, in Atlanta. It was called a "Toys for Tots" concert and had up and coming bands. Anyway, the best concert I saw was Elton John in 78! He was in "full regalia" and sounded awesome! I told my daughter, back then you could smoke inside and the arena was filled with the smell of pot; everyone shared and it was more about the music; now, it seems to be more about the show...of course, it could have been the pot....

Steel Pulse, last month at Del Mar.
many years ago, it was Jefferson Airplane!

I've never been a big concert goer. But I saw the Van Halen 1984 concert. I've seen Sting with Annie Lennox, Barenaked Ladies, the Indigo Girls 3 times. My first concert was Survivor with Billy Squire circa 1982. Lol. My weirdest concert had to be the Tubes around 1985. I'm sure there's more and I'm certain none of them were remotely newsworthy. Lol.

When I was a kid we went to Chicagofest regularly. I remember James Taylor and Carly Simon. I seem to recall Peter, Paul and Mary, too.

I might be the biggest lame-o ever....

Id love to see Blink-182! Love them! Also, if the Scissor Sisters come back to Denver, I'm totes going!

Hi Trey!

It's great to have you in here man. I have to start by saying that I think you have absolutely beautiful eyes. But now to your actual question. lol I have not been to an actual concert in many years. I was fortunate enough to see Journey in concert when they were very first starting out. I saw them in Ohio around 1979. They were awesome! I also saw Van Halen in concert in the late 70's. The real Van Halen with a very young and sexy David Lee Roth. I saw Genesis in 1983. Phil Collins was still in his prime and still on an upward climb. One of my other favorites was Styx in concert. They put on an excellent show! I saw the Rolling Stones in 2000. They put on a really good show too.

I've also seen a few other big name acts in concert that as you say about your venue, didn't really leave you clamoring for more. haha But the ones I listed above are some of my favorite and most memorable. :)

Hey i work for the concerts in Hershey and i love it because for a small town they do get a lot of big name bands that come through :)

That's cool Trey! :) Who are some of your personal favorite music groups?

Like i said i love blink 182 but i also like the fray, three doors down, the script, tose aresome of the feww

My favorite concert of all time was the first time I saw the Rolling Stones in 1980. It was at the now demolished Kingdome here in Seattle. J. Geils opened up for them. I had seen the Who a year or so before and thought there couldn't be a better rock show then that until this concert. I have seen them 10 or so times since and they have never dissapointed, but the first time was amazing!! I also saw Neil Young at a smaller venue here called The Paramount. The first half of the concert was just him, his guitar, harmonica and piano. It was so beautiful to see him so relaxed and mellow. I saw the Moody Blues at a venue in central washington called The Gorge. It was awesome!!! Justin Haywards voice live was like listening to the album with the volume cranked up high.
