Stuck in malaysia!! Act of god my arse!

FUCK ME WITH A MASSIVE STICK AND CALL ME JOYCE!!

I don't know who has been effected by this whole aviation crisis that has swept the UK and Europe, due to some stupid fucking Icelandic Volcano. I was stuck in Kulala Lumpur for 5 days and it really fucked me off.
I had to pay for my own hotel and meals and general living expenses when i all i wanted was to be at home snuggled up with my significant other... I missed 5 days work and more importantly 5 days of Broke Straight Boys! i managed to watch the David and Tyler video very discreetly in some dodgy internet cafe... but fuck that was awkward!!

I arrived back home and safe this morning thanks to some very very kind Thai man letting me swap my ticket for his because i started to through the biggest bitch for of all time (i was under the impression that getting deported at this point was my only option of getting home!!) This was going to be a tantrum of Oscar winning proportions!! so thanks to dangseep or whatever your name was!! 2 of my collegues are still in Malaysia because they are booke with a different airline and wont return home until next monday!

Was anyone else effected by this?? You Americans probably have no idea what I am going on about.. but read or watch the news aqnd you will see!
I just needed a rant and Facebook didnt seem appropriate!

Welcome Home!!! I was not effected living in California, but have seen the problems the ash has caused in your part of the world. It has effected a lot of people and they say it will take a couple of weeks for things to get back to normal. Happy to hear you made it home to your someone special, I am sure he is happy to see you too.

They were there for a week, and all just melted away today, finally, as the airlines finally put their foot(s) down and more or less defied the EU commission who created a Dark Ages of Aviation all over Europe. I'll tell ya who is goona pay for my extended stay SOMEONE WHO IS NOT ME! I swear in malaysia if u Dnt stay in a 5* HOTEL you might aswell say goodnight to your Health! the Grand Seasons has served me well but my visa and mastercard bill will not be paid by me this month! I travel constantly and i have never ever ever seen such chaos in all my life (unless you count the time i nearly battered down the doors to some club in Sydney at new years to catch a glimpse of my BFF Paris Hilton)...
Good To Know There Are Some Caring People Left In The World.. Malaysian Airlines got ripped on the way home with my taking advantage of the first class drinks service... Still kinda drunk as we type so not a wasted journey hahaha! Wanna hear a funny story... My Partner was in NYC and ironicaly the only flight he could have got was a flight to reykjavik in Iceland - Go Figure... He lands in an hour or so, So i wont be online for much longer... bring on the weekend!!!

I'm so glad you arrived home safely. I've been hearing about all the problems in the U.K. in particular and Western Europe in general. Are you seeing a layer of dust on the landscape where you are? Or was it not very noticeable in your area from ground level?

Hey John,

You were not the only affected. Here it was a choas espacially in trains as everone was trying to return safelly to home by another way than air. They were people stucked in the airports and who did not have a visa to go out, so they slept 5 days in the airport, whithout hotel, a real bathroom...

I had my boss that was blocked in Scottland and had to drive 12 hours before taking a bus and then another 8 eight before arriving home, or a friend who returned from Romania in 3 days by bus, train and in the middle a LOT of waiting hours just to get tickets

Really happy that you got home safely from Asia and if can just imagined that you were Lucky enough, because some are still trapped and will arrive only tomorrow.

This sounds so crazy and unbelievable to read all the difficulties our European cousins have to put with because of one silly old volcano. If one old volcano can do so much disruption to so many people, I wonder what Mt Shasta can do to us on the US west coast. Just glad that no one got hurt and almost everyone go home safely.

I haven't traveled in a while but here in NYC all 3 airports were overloaded with people going home your way. I used to go overseas every month for many years and can really appreciate what happened. Even worse the airlines decided to have people with current tickets go first and every now and then put afew extras on the planes. I think there is still a backlog. Glad you got home and was able to get back online.

I was a whole other level of pissed off last night!! My Bryan never made his London to Glasgow flightcos of a delay at the NYC end so i had to drive 10 hours to London Heathrow (which i have never driven before) to pick him up.. in a BMW suv at the current price of petrol this was not cheap i'll tell ya!! I may sue british Airways but THE ACT OF GOD policy forbids me from doing sooo,.... fuck right off! he is home safe and sound now and we can eventually let the weekend begin!
