I watched this today and I have to say I learned quite a bit about Spencer. First of all he is from my neck f the woods since I live in San Francisco and have all my live except when my father was stationed overseas in various places while in the Navy. I also learned that Spencer is more than just a handsome face. He is a thoughtful young man, careful & courteous in his speech and displays a depth of thought that frankly I find delightful. He reminds me of a number of young men I have represented in that he comes from a rougher background and has strove hard to rise above and learn from the negative portions of that experience. I would be delighted to meet him face to face and even introduce him to some friends of mine who have had similar experiences and have gone on to greater things.

This is one of the things I have found wonderful about this website. We have had the opportunity to get to know the young men [at least some of them] who model here as something other than simply a pretty face. It is that depth of involvement which has given me a deeper understanding into the different models who have chosen to share some aspects of their lives with us. I do know that initially a lot of people felt that Spenser was homophobic when he first appeared here. I can understand how they might feel that way but I believe that after watching this interview they understand the complexity of the feelings that Spencer was dealing with at the time and how what they were seeing expressed was not homophobia but instead a young man trying to adapt and handle a situation which he had never had any experience with.

I do not know if Spencer will be reading the comments I or others might post concerning his BTS interview but if he does I want to tell him that I appreciate his sharing with us something about him. I wish him all the best in his future and frankly I hope we see more of him here since I think he is a handsome man and good at what he does in the studio. And should he decide to communicate further with us as Damien, Paul, Ian and others have done I look forward to that as well. Finally, his girlfriend is one lucky young lady.

I completely agree with Juanjo. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Physically Spencer is not my type, nor was Connor or Johnny Forza, as I like the thinner smooth swimmer's build over a body builder type, but that is just personal preference. The point is that I admire Spencer as a man who has gone through a lot in his young life, and I admire his honesty in admitting that he came across badly in his first scenes here.

He is an introspective highly intelligent young man, and I respect him and congratulate his girlfriend for having such a fine man. Another 5 star production by Damian Christopher. I tend to enjoy the BTS more often than the scenes themselves.

I truly enjoyed the interview with Spencer. It have us a good glimpse of the man behind his video work. He comes across as a really nice guy and I appreciated his better informed views of the gay community. I hope he will stick around for awhile as I do enjoy his work at Broke Straight Boys

I truly agree with most of the comments, it was good to see this side of Spencer and the interviews have been awesome in general! At the end when Spencer spoke of the experiences he has used with his girl friend at least, some of the positions, I was really hoping he would say something regarding the use of any "toys" that may have been experimented with.....just wondering!

A great interview with a fine young man - Broke Straight Boys management - hold on to him for dear life - he is truly representative of what Broke Straight Boys is all about!

I agree with everyone here. I waited till now to view his interview because I had a feeling Spencer would go rather deep into his mindset and thought processes from the point that he first joined the site. I'm glad I was able to give his interview my full attention. I dare say that as I suspected it might be, I found it quite riveting. I'm very taken with how intelligently he articulated all of the main points he brought up and responded to.

After such a dismal and controversial start here at Broke Straight Boys in the now infamous scene with Jason, Spencer quickly rose to become a personal favorite of mine as a model. The transformation from where he started to where he is now is rather startling. (In a very good way of course) While this would only be my speculation into his thought processes, I think in the beginning he was dealing not only with his own anti-gay prejudices but worries about what his friends might think if they ever saw him doing this. So he felt that he had to look like he hated everything about doing the work.

Then he still ended up losing "friends" over it anyway. I'm very glad to see that Spencer reached a point where he realized that he was better off without the kinds of friends who would drop him or scorn him because of how he decided to earn some much needed cash. It's a very sobering experience to find out who your true friends are. The ones who have an unconditional positive regard for you and so on, rather than the fair weather friends who place all kinds of conditions on your friendship.

I'm sorry that he went through the experience of so many people in his family and inner circle finding out. But then again, he seems to have made peace with it and is happy to have the support of the people who still stand by him. I'm very impressed by how bright and confident he is at such a young age. I'm thinking he will go very far in life, long after his career in gay for pay porn has become a memory for him. I wish him well. Having gotten more of a glimpse into his soul I feel even more attracted to him as a person and a model. I'm hoping that he will still be around for quite a while longer.

He alludes to things said about him on the site. I don't know if those things were merely told or read to him, or if he really reads some of the forum and the comments himself. I really hope that he does decide to join the forum so that he can interact with us. I'd also like for him to be able to see how appreciated he is in here and how much we would like to love on him and thank him for his work onscreen.

Like Juanjo said...I'm very appreciative that he was even willing to do this interview. It was informative, enlightening and I would even say heartwarming. So I also thank the staff here for deciding to do such an interview with Spencer. I'm also enjoying the new format and layouts of the BTS scenes. Without spending more money, they are still managing to look more polished and professional. :)

It is always nice to see the models just being themselves. I also really enjoyed the way it was filmed, overlapping the "workout" stuff with the questions he answered. Thanks Spencer.

After watching the Red Rocket's one-on-one interview, I actually listened to him with my ears and not my years. Spencer seems to me to possess a heart full of compassion, dedication, and drive. He has his head on his shoulders, right where it should be, and not up his anal orifice as most persons prefer to hide when they are being interviewed. Spencer exhibited unsurpassed immense maturity and bravado through his stoic emotional expression and stunning determination. If only all models on this site could step forward along the path Spencer plodded ahead, their performances would not receive negative criticism. Ok, so Spencer has fallacies, but that is what makes him a human of exceptional caliber. Ever since I first saw Spencer in a video, I enjoyed his "take charge, take no prisoners" demeanour on-camera. Only recently did I notice a difference in his performance. Me, personally, I prefer the Spencer Todd I met in absentia, and I hope this Spencer can resurrect this same persona for which Spencer Todd has rightfully earned himself the nickname as the Red Rocket. Fire away, Spencer. Take some a** and take names, for everyone should eventually climb the ladder that leads to you. Many shall equal, but none shall surpass - unless you let them. Reclaim your name; reclaim your fame; reclaim your claim you are worthy of the best because you ARE the best. Follow your heart, Spencer, and follow your dreams. But never - NEVER - follow man because you should always lead. Enough said.

I think someone is smitten. haha

Guilty as charged. After looking at his bum in a video, it reminds me of an ancient Chinese philosopher's sage words: "Confucius says, boy who has red hair on head, has red hair by-crackie."

I always like to see the behind the scenes shots after seeing a guy in the videos. I took too long to get to this one. I like it a lot and got to like Spencer a whole lot more. I wish him luck here and in anything he does. He's a good guy. After seeing this I'll look at him in a new light on anything he does in the future.

Would really like to see interview with some of the guys that were on Broke Straight Boys in the beginning and talk about their life after Broke Straight Boys That includes success stories and not so successful stories. The truth is important.

Well put! I second the motion.
