Thank you Robb. I was never a fan of Spencer as redheads were never a passion of mine. And if you had asked me twenty minutes ago who Vinnie Steel was, I would not have remembered him, but it was actually a good sexy video. I see that Vinnie only did a solo, received oral in another and topped twice including with Spencer.
This was an interesting era in Broke Straight Boys with Clay having taken over from David. Thanks for this, Tampa! I'd not seen ANY of Spencer's scenes and am just going through them on another screen. Man, that boy was hot. Loved his reveal on his evolution to being an overall star when he was on Broke Straight Boys So, did he go elsewhere to see if the grass was greener at some other studio?

Spencer was a perfect example of a model who had such a rough start that we were all ready to tar and feather him and send him packing after a rough start followed by his disastrous scene with Jason Matthews. Jason was so universally loved in here that many of us were ready to spit tacks at the mere mention of Spencer's name. Then like the phoenix rising from the ashes Spencer redeemed himself. Because of Spencer he helped changed my lifelong perspective on the sexiness of gingers from one of ambivalence to one of interest and intrigue. I really do give Spencer (and Connor) the credit for changing my opinion of gingers. This scene is one of my favorites of all time on the site. It's due on no small part to how shocked we all were by Spencer's transformation from being very homophobic and borderline hostile towards the other models...to doing this scene. Apparently Clay had a talk with him after the aforementioned Jason scene and told him that if he could not do better, then he would be gone. His continued employment here was on very shaky ground. Whether Spencer was actually gay, bi or questioning and had played-acted the reluctant straight guy role too far to an over the top extreme...or if he really did start out at least as a straight homophobic guy who hated the very idea having to perform gay sex, but who desperately needed some quick substantial money...is a conclusion we will all have to guess at.
This scene is Spencer, Brandon Beal and Zane Tate. In many ways Spencer's performance in this scene (for me at least) came across as an apology to the members and fans of the site. In my nearly 8 years of being on the site, this one is definitely somewhere in my top 10 favorites.

Thanks Tampa, but I totally agree with Ertas that Jimmy's bottom scene on Men was totally lame, which apparently was his final scene there. Although Jimmy had a great attitude in that scene and kept a smile on his face, he obviously was doing it strictly for the money. And I would have to imagine after holding out all those years before doing it, that he got a nice paycheck that went towards his sons expenses, whom he adored more than anything. And I got that info about what a great dad he is direct from Sha who spent countless hours with Jimmy on the road during his year of making Gay Pride event appearances for Broke Straight Boys I miss Jimmy and I hope he and his kids are all doing well today!Out of deference to Mikey on his retirement day...LOL
PS I wonder if Mark still keeps in touch with Jimmy, as I know of at least two side projects that he employed Jimmy in after he had retired from doing scenes on Broke Straight Boys I would be curious if Mark would let us know how he is doing today.

I understand what you mean about the outcry in the aforementioned Shane/Spencer scene. Shane was pure "give and make him feel comfortable". Spencer must have checked out the site and chose to emulate Jimmy Johnson. Still, I gave Shane high marks for the scene and left out rating Spencer because of what I'd listened to him say in his departure video. Too bad Spencer and Shane could not have been cast for that last scene (Vinnie was horrible but I thought Spencer tried to make it appear somewhat enjoyable) and Spencer could have "made up" to Shane by letting him (Shane) fuck him (Spencer) as a thank you to the guy who ultimately made everything comfortable for Spencer as he evolved into a caring scene partner. Would love to have seen Jason have a vengeance fuck, bareback and all (though Jason doesn't seem to be that sort of model to make such a scene.)

And, Mikey, I read your response to Tampa's post and realize you still adore Jimmy. I hope he is doing well, too. But, I don't recall Jimmy smiling during the Straight to Bottom scene with Colby at Men. He kept a straight (pun intended) face and backed out of that scene as soon as he was finished. My guess was that Men discovered the viewing audience found Jimmy boring and they offered him a sizeable amount to do the scene then let him loose right after. Now that I think about it - I believe Jimmy filmed for Active Duty after leaving Men. He never barebacked and he never bottomed there - which goes against their usual scenes.
