OMG!!! Invest in some sound equipment! I'm trying to watch the Chasen and Michael video and can't hear David or the models! I don't know if you're using a boom mic or what but there has to be a better way to do the sound. I have seen this site improve in so many ways during my time as a member. Maybe skip a shoot and use the money you were going to pay the models and buy some sound gear the works!

Yes...we are using a boom mic. The boom mic runs on a battery and at times when the battery is dying, I can't hear it go dead. Now I film with headphones on so I can hear the sound levels go down and change the battery before the sound is lower. This was one of those isolated cases...just raise your sound up on your computer and your speakers and you can hear it much better. Sorry about that

Oh! Just an added not. Sometimes its not the mic, its the models...often models are very quiet when they fuck and suck so it may appear there is no sound.

I was shocked when I read this as I consider Broke Straight Boys to have some of the best sound I have ever heard on a porn site. Outside of the occasional lawn mower. I have even wondered how they do it?

Actually I think the sound has vastly improved from videos of a year ago or more. It used to be like the Straight Boys Jerk Off site where the mic on the camera was all they had. The cameraman's voice boomed while the models sounded like they were on the far side of the room. Many a time even with headphones you can't make out what the models are saying in some of the older vids. Then you had models like Mumbles aka CJ who was indecipherable. But I think the sound now is much better.

Actually....I watched the scene in question and the sound was very good?? I also went and visited some of the older scenes and the audio sounds good to me on my computers. Some models mumble, Some models are just quite so perhaps that maybe the issue.

I agree David. I thought the sound in that video was okay. The older vids were the hardest to hear. And of course CJ wasn't and isn't the only model who mumbles and talks under his breath. That's why I suggested a while back that some of the more intriguing but garbled comments said in the heat of passion might be subtitled.

Yes smartass! I have my laptop speakers turned all the way up and the site volume as well. Have any of you ever watched a movie being made? The boom mic is moved from one person to another to get the best sound. If you have someone moving the mic he/she is not doing a very good job. If no one is moving it perhaps a second mic is in order. It seems if you can hear the models then you can't hear David and vice versa. I shouldn't have the have to have volume capable of waking the people next door in order to hear all of what I'm paying for. By the way, I have a good quality, expensive laptop so don't blame the computer.

Hi Rickster when you mentioned laptop sort of explains the problem your having. Regardless of how much the laptop cost the unfortunate thing is there is just not enough room in the laptop case to place speakers of any size. Therefore they are almost incapable of reproducing sound of any reasonable quality. I would suggest stopping at a Best Buy or other computer store and picking up a pair of external speakers that will plug into your lap top or perhaps a pair of head phones. I think this will solve your problem. While the sound from Broke Straight Boys is not perfect or movie quality it is certainly not bad either.

You mentioned watching them capture audio while shooting a movie. In this case they need absolutely perfect sound and also can not have any uncontrolled back ground noise. On the side I professionally record concerts and plays for either CDs/DVDs or radio broadcast. I can place a pair of condenser microphones in front of the stage and almost hear a pin drop so under these kind of conditions it should not be that necessary to move the microphone around with the actors. Laptops are not the best medium to hear audio, that is why I have a set of Logitech headphones. The sound quality is excellent but I don't know how much they cost because I aquired them from work.

I'm at home and I use a laptop at home and the sound is good at my end. The speakers in my laptop is altec lansing so I don't know if that makes a difference.

On Eddie's laptop he has a apple, and usually the sound on his computer sucks...and it sounds good at our end so I'm not sure why your having issue's with sounds.
