Two things:

I will share any memories I choose to, on that day.

If my 9/11 memories should involved politics then so be it!!! While I agree that posters should stick to the topic of the thread, how many threads don't we see that wander all over the place.

I remember being awaken by my roommate. he was saying that the twin towers were gone! I couldn't understand the words he was using. how could they be gone? then I saw video of the towers falling.
my roommate's girlfriend lost her bother - law. so disbelief and sorrow remain a part of my life.

I was off work that week and my partner and I had his 2 yo girl for a week. I just got him off to work and she woke up and wanted cereal and cartoons. We sat down in the living room to get our fix of the Rugrats and everything flashed across the TV screen. I kept her occupied while I watched in terror!! I got to visit the memorial 2 years ago next month while I was visiting my buddy Mikeyank in NYC. You all know him, he posts here once in awhile lolololol While there the one thing I noticed is, with all the people there (thousands I'm sure) it was so quiet and somber. It was a good time for reflections and be grateful for who and what I have in my life, but at the same time I was feeling scared for the hateful people in this world.....

I do post from time to time Peter. lolololol But living here, visiting the WTC Memorial is not the sort of thing that I do unless I have an out of town visitor and it was very sombering to be there for me as well.
