Well... The vid had lots of filler. But it was cool to see the models out in public and being a little silly. We learned that Kaden Alexander works as a CNA. That's a very tough and often thankless job. I admire him for doing it and trying to help others in need.

I can only imagine how embarrassed I'd be walking around town (outside of a pride event) with the Broke Straight Boys t-shirt on. lol It was interesting to see how the guys handled the questions from passers-by. :)

I thought the mission of Broke Straight Boys models at any Pride event is to interact with people at the Pride event booth including members and to try to sell the brand. If their mission is chicks and fun, then they should go on their own vacations. This segment was a complete waste of time. Hopefully Part II will show them at the Pride event itself which supposedly is the reason Broke Straight Boys does these events in the first place.

I've spoken with my staff and we are going to do more behind the scenes but make them have 1 part instead of 2. That way we can make the behind the scenes more interesting and capture more of what is going on. Keep in mind it is sometimes very difficult to get all the good stuff.

I will be honest the bts vids are usually hit or miss. But I love that Broke Straight Boys takes the time to make them available to us to watch. This one to me didn't have a point but I enjoy Damien and Paul so I watched it. I really wish we got more bts of actual shoots. Thanks.

I want to think staff for presenting a delightful bts episode with paul, Kaden Alexander, and damien enjoying off time in san diego. san diego is a nice walkable city. more than beaches and the pride grounds. beautiful girls and hot guys make the city fun. I like watching the guys just being themselves in a strange town. I also like that this tour of downtown san diego is separate from the pride event. watching them spent down time being boys, tourist in san diego was fun for me.

I think this episode showed paul, damien, and Kaden Alexander in town before the pride event on saturday and sunday. during the pride event, for two days from early morning to late into the evening the guys fulfill their mission to interact. I have pictures and videos of them interacting. this is a fun place to be, even if you do have to work your ass off. I wonder how many straight boys would spend their weekend in the park, in their underwear?

I for one enjoyed this scene for a very different reason. Growing up in a very "country area" of Upstate NY., I moved to San Diego after getting out of the Navy. I was stationed in the Oceanside area of SoCal and visited San Diego as often as I could. In my early and mid to late 20's, living in San Diego was the first time I was able to "Live Out Loud" as a young man attracted to other men. The scenes and the boys walking down the very streets that I have been on brought back very fond memories of that experience.

It was nice to see, Paul, Damien, and Kaden Alexander just being a couple of guys walking around the city but, for me, it was like being there again at or around their age! Though I've since moved back to Upstate NY and live a "Discrete" life-style, I am forever grateful for having lived and all that I gained from my experience in San Diego. Those memories will sustain me for life!

Thanks Mark, Blu-Media and the boys for this scene and I look forward to part II.!

I watch all of the BTS, (more so than I watch the current Broke Straight Boys sex scenes). I enjoy seeing the guys who are the models on Broke Straight Boys in their real lives, being themselves. This particular segment was not very introspective, but I do enjoy watching them walk down the street and react and interact with some of the people they run into.

But my favorites are where Sha talks to them and we learn more about the real men behind the porn characters that are seen on the sex updates.

I also found it interesting that they identified themselves as participants on BSB TV, so I assume that all three are on the TV series that is in the works.

The only way we will ever get to see who they truly are as themselves would be to have them filmed without their knowing they are being filmed. That way they would have no reason to play to an audience.

I also found it interesting that they identified themselves as participants on BSB TV, so I assume that all three are on the TV series that is in the works.Yes, I noticed the same thing, but of course we all might be dead before that happens - lol!

I guess the way I viewed this bts episode was that it was guys in town to man a booth at a convention. comic-con or a dozen other conventions where there are a few hours before things begin, guys/gals walk around the city and check it out. college and pro teams come to town and the guys spend their down time doing the tourist thing, then on game day they go to work. I also think that these guys are not actors playing their role when the camera is on. they are just guys who do gay for pay videos, but as real as they come. and I like looking at san diego through anyone's eyes. that's the real reason I liked this episode.

Pride Parts 1 & 2 and the new TV show

Thanks to all of you who enjoyed part 1 and sorry for the delay in the BTS as we were busy filming the TV show and more behind the scenes. Part 1 was intended as a preview of what the guys do before they actually have to work the events which can be strenuous, but still rewarding. This video shows these young guys as they really are...fun, comical, spontaneous, and living for the moment.

Part 2 will actually be different in format (our new format moving forward to tie in with the new TV show) and it will show the guys working, having fun, and the ups and downs of doing these types of events. Even though the cameras are rolling, the guys are keeping it real and being themselves. Trust me, lol.

Over the next few weeks, the BTS will reflect what we are doing with the TV show and aim to give you a no holds barred look into what happens in between the x-rated scenes that you enjoy so much. The BTS will act as a complement to the TV show and provide insight to many of the things viewers will experience with the show in the near future.

The TV show promises to go a step further and give you a glimpse into who these guys really are, their backgrounds, personal struggles, what happens in the studio, and how they behave (or misbehave) 24 hours a day over the course of several weeks. There will be comedy, drama (lots of it), and heartfelt moments that will leave you with a better understanding of some of your favorite models and the business behind producing the site. These are young men who perform in gay for pay porn strictly for the money and you'll find out why. The reasons aren't always what you think they are. No TV show has dared to show the porn business like this. This is as real as it gets for mainstream TV.

The show is currently in post production. We will be debuting a brand new preview (trailer) very soon and our members will see it first. Stay tuned to the BTS as there are a lot of exciting and introspective segments coming soon.

Thanks for your time.

Damian!

It's so nice to see you posting again. While I have your ear for a moment, I just want to compliment you personally on your photo/video shoots of Johnny and Graham off the set. "Venus as a Boy" and Graham's photo shoot within his BTS vid in particular, were both especially good. Of course you do great work elsewhere too. Thank you!

On the subject of the BTS vids I wanted to make a few observations and suggestions. I'm not really fond of the current intro to the BTS vids. The intro is artsy and perhaps edgy and hip. However, the shots of barbed wire and dilapidated abandoned buildings just don't segue in my own mind in preparation to see a cool site with handsome and classy models. I fully admit that since I have started to join the age set of the middle-aged, that it could be a generational bias. I'm not sure how the intro would test with focus groups between the ages of 18-90. Surely there would be some different perceptions. lol Even so, I think that in preparation for what I hope will be an amazing infusion of new members with the launch of the tv show, that the intro might be tweaked a little bit first. Although given everything you've said above, maybe you already have. haha

I'm glad that Mark has said that you'll be getting away from doing two-parter BTS vids. Even though we knew there were going to be two parts here, this scene just didn't have enough substance to stand well on its own. For the record, I do very much enjoy the BTS vids overall. I know that they're not intended to be high budget, labor intensive productions. Up till now at least, they've been a low-budget means of adding some extra value and enjoyment to the membership experience. I have always enjoyed and still enjoy them in that context. I think we all mostly agree that the priorities of the site's money should go towards finding the best models and filming the best porn scenes possible. I also appreciate that for those who can't attend the events, that paying members can at least vicariously share some of those moments with their favorite models.

I have always appreciated the fact that even on days with no new releases, that the site offered something "new" to entertain me/us on those off days. I've even stayed up till midnight sometimes just to see a new BTS vid. This, in spite of the fact that I knew it would offer me no happy ending other than the smiles and comfort of seeing and getting to know a favorite model a little better before bedtime. haha

Since you say that you have a whole new template in mind with the BTS vids going forward, I hope you will fill in the viewers a little more of the set-up of the vids. Using this one for an example, it would have helped to know if the guys were done with all the events and were strolling around town before leaving. Or if they were in between a two day pride event, or were just arriving in the city before their first event. The more information you can give the viewers to set up the action, the more they will enjoy it. If the viewers really feel like they have a front-row seat, they'll relate to the models much more and appreciate the site all the more for giving them that experience. I actually think the low-budget, silent film technique is good for doing that. Typing out the message and displaying it in the vid works well enough. There's no need for a narrator to do voice-overs...unless you want to spend the money and time to do that for the sake of the tv show.

In closing Damian I want to compliment you on your writing skills. You write very well. You even know the difference between compliment/complement. A man after my own heart. haha

Take care man! :)

just watched it again. not sure how I missed that Kaden Alexander's lap dance was at mo's. when the boys were at mo's, I was out back enjoying something not available inside. damn, my carnal needs. I now know for sure that the guys did their walk around on Friday. the pridefest in the park runs all day Saturday and sunday. day one was Friday. the chamber, Amtrak, the rail and bus transit agencies, and mo's could use this video for promotion. by the way, mo's is owned by the man who let them run the first pridefest in the parking lot of his bar. that the boys went to mo's on Friday meant a lot to me. wish I had stayed inside.

Thanks for the kind words Tampa24. They are very much appreciated along with the suggestions. You can thank my creative writing professors at UCLA for instilling proper grammar in me. Lol.

I understand what you mean about setting up the situation a bit more. Unfortunately if we had done that with this video it would have provided a bit more information than we can actually give on what we're doing with the TV show right now. Part 2 will be better in providing that. Next time, it will be one, longer video that hopefully accomplishes all of that.

In the beginning the BTS were more stylized and more episodic and we moved away from that format in order to concentrate on giving that to you in the tv show and to provide more updates on a more regular basis. However, I hope to bring more of what I do with the photography to the BTS without getting too glossy and hence losing it's amateur appeal. We're working on debuting a new series of BTS (along with a new opener) very soon that promises to be sexy, informative, and entertaining. Also, I can't tell you how excited I am for the members to see the TV show as it will be very entertaining and really provide a behind the scenes look at the models and the company.

Thanks again!

Damian

Thanks so much for responding Damian. :)

I wanted to wait until I had enough time to properly respond to your comments.

I'm thrilled at the idea of getting to know the guys better as real people. Gaining even a little understanding of their personalities, backgrounds, life experiences and their motivations for getting into the business is something that I'd say a majority of the members are quite curious to know. I'm quite excited at the prospect of the tv show.

I know what you mean about not wanting to turn the BTS vids into too glossy of a production. I do love your photography work but I also appreciate wanting to maintain the amateur eclectic "quirkiness" as I might put it, about the BTS scenes. It's rather enjoyable that they are low budget productions that can be all over the map. It's like a grab bag of sorts with no real rules or set parameters. One day a silly game being played by the models, another day an insightful interview or an event video and so on.

I get what you're saying about the format changing to complement the tv show. I agree with you that it's probably not a good idea to raise expectations that the BTS vids will become major expensive productions unto themselves. Better to keep viewer expectations of BTS scenes reasonable than to risk disappointing them by raising the bar too high and then not being able to maintain it. That doesn't mean that we can't have some especially good ones now and then though. lol Having said that, the BTS's could become great teasers to draw in new members from the tv audience. If you tell them online that they can not only get to see the models in x-rated action but get even more insight into the tv show (exclusively for members only) by joining the site, then it becomes an even more attractive proposition to draw in new members.

Have a good day Damian! :)
