To me, being a big fan of these young porn stars has always been a double edged sword. Particularly when the models posted on the forum on a more regular basis and we the fans would gush over them, and tell them how much we admired them would urge them to continue performing for our entertainment. As I always knew and would say it on the forum from time to time, that this is a dark business and I would never want anyone who I knew on a personal basis, (a relative or a guy I knew in my personal life) to become or remain a porn star. There is largely a dark side to the life of being an "adult entertainer".The tragic loss of wonderful Tyler along with 2 other models in the same week illustrates in pretty stark terms that we have a serious problem on our hands and makes me wonder as a subscriber of their work what, if any, part do I play in it. Just looking back over the past 12 months, the numbers of dead young models is quite shocking and is beginning to make me feel more than just sad, but a little disturbed. Anyone ?
However I also wonder if it is a "chicken or the egg" syndrome here, as does the life of a porn star bring these kids to do these dangerous things or does their personality of enjoying drugs and a wild life bring them to this field to earn quick "easy" money? I think it's a little of both. I so admire the guys who've worked for Broke Straight Boys, (or other sites, but Broke Straight Boys is my point of reference), for a short period in the lives to "sow their wild oats", so to speak, and then left the industry and gone on to live more "normal" lives with partners, be it male or female, and in some cases raise a family and look at their work here as a youthful experience.
We don't know what happens to most after they leave here, but some that I do have some knowledge of that make me happy to know that they survived the industry and got out relatively unscathed are Adam, Logan, Tanner, Jason, Diesal and Tank Shane. I would also just speculate that Ayden and Gage Owens are guys that were not as "into" the negative aspects of the lifestyle as others, but that is purely speculation on my part.
When forum folks pine for stars of the past to return here, I on the other hand hope that they've gotten the "porn thing" out of their system, and would prefer that they perhaps appear for an interview, if they would be comfortable doing that, just as a "whatever happened to" segment. But I would guess that they would rather not as their current lifestyle and partners and perhaps children might learn more about their past than they are comfortable sharing.
It also makes me uncomfortable to find out that former Broke Straight Boys models are on twitter or other social media, trying to get back to film porn or offering themselves as private escorts for fans to earn some quick cash. Those are the one's whom I fear might be on a dangerous downward spiral. Excuse my rant, but the poster asked if anyone had thoughts on the subject and those are some of mine, based mostly on speculation with just a few facts.
