Recent Models on BSB

Some folks have commented that some of the recent scenes on Broke Straight Boys have featured less than top quality models. A model named Ty has appeared in two recent scenes. I did not recall ever seeing him before, but yesterday as I was searching for the names of Alex & Chris, I flipped through the pages of the archives and discovered that Ty had one appearance here before in a solo on March 10, 2010, but was only featured once until his recent pair of scenes.

Ty is not what I consider to be a hot guy, nor have some recent guys like Clayton or Mitch, and while Darren is popular with some, he does nothing for me either. This made me think about a recent post from Mark. When asked about why some of the College Dudes solo models often do not return to that site, Mark replied:

"This is because College Dudes are higher priced models and alot of them are straight. Some come for a solo and that's it. We try our best to get them to do more but we aren't going to force anything".

This bothers me, as I pay for this site every month, and I have no interest in the polished, muscle boys, with shaved bodies and asshole's, with their fake moans and groans, that appear on College Dudes I am a member of only Broke Straight Boys, and I would like to think that Mark, and Clay are searching for the hottest guys to put right here on this site.

I really like Kodi and Scott, and Blake is cute in a boy next door way too. I just hope that in the near future, we see some more really good looking guys, right here where I belong, and that the hot guys are not saved for another site in the company, where I do not participate.

I agree with you Mikey that the last several scenes have have been below par and with so-so models. I won't name names. That's all subjective though on an individual matter of taste. I think the best scene we've had in a while however was the Connor/Kodi scene. I've gone back to it more than once. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that it still sits with a rating of 4.7. That makes it one of the most popular vids of all time. That's no small feat!

I admit that I was also troubled by Mark's quote. However I let it slide at the time because I enjoy having him post more often and I don't want him to stop. Let me repeat that again for emphasis. I don't want Mark to stop posting just because some quotes may be taken out of context or misconstrued. I always try to give Mark the benefit of the doubt if he says something that can be taken in various ways.

Since you bring it up again however I will express some concern by this quote. It leads one to wonder things like whether we are given some models over here on this side because they would not have made the cut on College Dudes. And even if that were the case in rare instances I would still be okay with it personally. I mean in the sense that the Broke Straight Boys "type" typically does have some models of the more boy-next-door kind of look. As opposed to the slick "supermodel" look...

I have other concerns though as to why we have gotten some below par models in here within the last month (4 weeks) who really would not have made the cut on College Dudes and probably shouldn't have made the cut over here. After all Broke Straight Boys has talent scouts all over the country and ads online targeted in various regions. We shouldn't have to settle for a below average looking and/or a more gay model on Broke Straight Boys just to get a warm body in front of the camera. Economic times are still hard. I know that Broke Straight Boys can find some better looking and straighter models than some we have been seeing recently.

I don't even have a problem with the models on College Dudes being paid more because the work over there is harder. Mainly because even if they are straight they are expected to act and perform and pretend like they are enjoying every second of the sex. They're supposed to look like professional gay models. Whereas over here on an "amateur, first time" site, if a straight model is not enjoying the sex he is allowed some latitude in expressing as much.

The toughest part of the quote though was whether College Dudes models are paid more (even for solos) because many of them are straight, and Broke Straight Boys models are paid less because they really aren't as straight. And therefore overall they don't need as much monetary motivation to perform. I'm not saying that that is the case. But if there is even a kernel of truth to it I hope that the powers that be will change their minds on this so that we are getting better looking and more straight models over here on this side. I prefer to think that with Mark and Clay's welcome new improvements to the layouts of the scenes, that the quality of the models being hired over here will improve also.

One of the best parts of the same quote however was Mark's insistence on adhering to the culture he promotes within the company. That being that no model is browbeaten or forced into doing anything that his conscience or self-esteem would not be able to bear. I don't want to see any model here leave in worse shape psychologically than when he arrived. Obviously Mark and Clay feel the same way.

Totally , but if I can gloat when my teams win, I must eat crow when they are humiliated.

I don't call what they did tonight dancing, more like crawling or slipping and falling.

But the great thing about being a sports fan, is there is always another season around the corner, and the Yankees open in three weeks. I was just hoping for Duke's season to end a little bit closer to the Yank's opener.

What's interesting is that I'm willing to bet College Dudes has far less members than Broke Straight Boys Many people are tired of the "FAKE" amateur who is overly tanned, gay-tattooed, and just already a bad actor...it's like they get reject actors hanging around L.A. In addition, where are the Broke Straight Boys ads? I've never seen them, and I have lived all over the country, also, who hires the scouts? I need to get on the pay roll b/c I would find some good talent. If the scouts aren't producing then it's time to get new ones. Lastly, I've noticed some of the newer movies getting higher marks, and it leads me to wonder, how much of them are manufactured to make us think that people are beginning to like the new Broke Straight Boys or how much of it is real? Just curious....skeptical and all around a disappointed customer.

I hear you samm! I keep looking at the members favorites, and I have got to question the validity of it all. Episodes that didn't produce that high a rating, even when they first aired, are suddenly, member's favorites?

I also think that Broke Straight Boys has been doing a great job and has taking many of the forum suggestion and putting them into action. Mark, I personally want to say I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to the members.

No offense, but I don't get comments like this. IT'S A JOB, THEY GET PAID TO PERFORM, STRAIGHT, GAY OR NOT. They aren't providing some odd type of service that we should all be grateful for. I think it's cool that they participate on the forum, but something tells me that they are probably required to under their contract. People shouldn't feel obligated to thanks someone for doing their job, unless it's a waiter, the preacher, the pilot who got you to your destination safely...etc. However, I do agree with you, it is hard to please everyone all of the time, it's impossible.
