I know that today is the beginning of the Sweet Sixteen in college basketball and opening day is Thursday for MLB, but I saw a picture of potential New York Jets first round draft choice in the upcoming NFL draft and it certainly caught my attention.

I've never been a Jets fan and I don't intend to become one, but if he becomes the starting QB for them, I certainly will watch them much more often.

Earlier in this thread, Jay posted as to when there would be a football pic. Hopefully he will like young easy on the eyes Zach Wilson.

Yeah, he cute...lol. I actually like all the current top QB’s for the draft. Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Zach Wilson. They can all come get this.

Loyola of Chicago was upset this afternoon in its first NCAA tourney game as the favorite. So farewell to hot young point guard Braden.
I did watch the second half and the kid hit a big three in the final few minutes to close the gap but missed another late in the game. I didn’t stay but see that Syracuse lost to Houston so the cuties from yesterday were eliminated.

I’ve had my eyes on Trevor Lawrence for a while too! Being from the hippy generation, long hair on cute young guys has always been a weakness for me.

I like all of them as well. You don't see that many long haired QBs like Trevor anymore.

Yeah, they all are so hot. And so talented.
I agree and that is the whole point of my starting this thread to highlight guys we watch on TV and admire their athletic abilities as well as their good looks. In a way it is like my original interest in Broke Straight Boys, in that it was not just nameless good looking porn boys but instead guys who we got to know through David's and future director's interviewing them so it felt like we were watching a complete person. It is always hotter for me to know who the guys are than just watching a random pretty face and body.

Baseball 2021

While the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is going into the final weekend with the Final Four on Saturday and the national championship game on this coming Monday, today only one sport is on the stage to my way of thinking. Today is Opening Day - 2021.

All my best wishes to fans of whichever team you root for, even to kgmets. lololol

It's almost time for the umpires in the stadiums around the country to yell out:

And on a personal note:

Jack Leiter

Jack Leiter is the 20 year old son of former major league pitcher Al Leiter who pitched for both the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. Jack was drafted in the 20th round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees and opted to go to college to improve his ranking and chances of being drafted a lot higher, and apparently it has worked well for young Jack. Tonight he ended a 20 2/3 hitless inning streak for his college team Vanderbilt. He is eligible to be in the July major league draft this summer and is projected as one of the top picks and could make a lot of money for himself.

And the reason I am posting about Jack here is because I think he is extremely good looking!

Handsome he is! If I recall correctly his dad once pitched a 1-0 shut out for the Mets against the Reds in a one game play in game to get the Mets into the playoffs. Good genes both in looks and pitching talent in that family.

Great finish to the Gonzaga vs. UCLA NCAA National Men's College Basketball Tournament Semifinal with a long shot at the buzzer deciding the game at the end of OT. Undefeated Gonzaga survived its closest game of the year.

I agree. This turned out to be a classic NCAA tournament game setting up a potentially great matchup for Monday night in the final with Gonzaga and Baylor.

I literally had happy tears for my bulldogs
That was a heart stopping game with all the story lines and twists and turns. I didn't have any stake in the outcome so I was rooting for both the underdog Bruins who came out of the play-in game to potentially upset the undefeated lion of college basketball this year. But I also have Seattle friends including Peter and the potential to see an undefeated champion again for the first time since Indiana in 1976.

But I will never forget Jalen Suggs banking the 40-foot 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer for the win!!!

Tonight the Championship Game has the potential for a great one with Gonzaga at 31-0 versus 27-2 Baylor! I love college basketball!

What a disappointing NCAA Men's Championship game between Gonzaga and Baylor. I was mildly rooting for Gonzaga, but expecting another epic game like Gonzaga/UCLA. Instead a Baylor blowout! However, credit to the Baylor coach who was hired to rebuild a college basketball program in shambles and rebuilt them into national champions. And then DeGrom pitches shut out ball leaving with a 2-0 lead and the Mets bullpen give up five runs in the eighth to lose their conronavirus delayed opening game. Bummer of a night to watch sports on TV!

Not a total bummer of a night to watch sports KG. Did you not see Aaron Judges homer and later Giancarlo Stantons mammoth grand slam? While the NCAA final was a bummer, I loved the baseball game played at Yankee Stadium. 😝

I forgot about the Yankee game and understand your happiness about that. At least the Mets came back to win tonight with homers by Smith and Alonso and more great starting pitching.

Breaking news: with his 70th career home run tonight Pete Alonso set a major league record for hitting that mark in the fewest game played. The previous holder of that record and now eleven games behind Alonso is someone named Aaron Judge!

Whoever that someone named Aaron Judge hit a three run homer tonight and Geritt Cole pitched another gem. Perhaps both our teams will be very good this year.
