96% of the US population live near a Wal-Mart. I live in New York City, and while I'm aware of a few attempts to open one, I believe we still have none, so I suppose we are part of the minority 4% here (not that I am missing it).

Adding to keylow's random facts:
1. There are 3 poisonous mammals(by bite) and stinging claws = the platypus, the echidna and shrews(now I know why bitchy women are called shrews)
2. There are only 4 types of taste buds on the tongue - bitter, sour, sweet and acid. The vast majority of our likes and dislikes for food are the result of odors and the sense of smell is one of the least understood of all senses. Currently it is believed that the scent cells can differentiate 70 different odors and how the scent cells do this is still somewhat of a mystery. Gasoline odor will deaden all other oders and for at least a few minutes, a person exposed to the smell of gasoline will be unable to smell anything else. Note that dogs always smell new food. See Diane Ackerman's wonderful book The Senses.

I was constantly getting hurt while I was hugging the bowl, puking my guts out after drinking all night and the seat and the lid fell on my head. It could have knocked me out and I would have drowned. Lucky me. lol
