Pubes!

I just happened to be looking through some scenes, noticing that most of the new models have been shaved. There have been numerous threads about the "shaved vs natural" and there was even a poll a while back. I found this comment on the scene page and thought I would bring the comment to the forum for those who may have missed it! Draw you own conclusions but, seems that it may be as a few members suggested, (myself included) that shaving is a trend among men these days in this culture! Something that people are doing and then decide to try porn, not the other way around.

I see several comments about the shaved pubes... Just wanted to leave a note as to why this is hard to control sometimes. The window of opportunity to get a straight guy to come into the studio and do their first solo is very short. Usually the guy needs money bad and that is his primary motivation for even applying. We got Antonio's application and saw he was local. Sha called him within 30 minutes and two hours later we were shooting this scene. This is a classic case of having to strike while the iron is hot. If we told these guys... call us back in a month or two after your pubes grow in, then we very well could lose them completely. Every month we have at least 1 guy we hire and book a ticket for who never gets on the plane. In November, we had 3 no shows. Airfares paid, we show up at the airport and no one gets off the plane. We vet them as much as possible, but you can't force someone to get on a plane. These aren't porn stars when we find them. For example, we never have a problem with College Dudes, but Broke Straight Boys is a unique situation due to the niche and as a rule working only with first timers. Working with straight guys is very difficult. They get cold feet and we never hear from them again. We already told Antonio that he's going to need to grow the pubes before we can shoot him again. But, we didn't want to let this one get away.

Thank you for sharing that post with us Betu. I hadn't seen it. Since I'm one of those who doesn't like the totally shaved prepubescent look, I was really pleased to read this explanation of the inner workings of the site. Of course I also know that some members love the shaved look and their tastes must also be catered to at times.

I also appreciate the fact that Bryce took the time to write this to us. I can see how if you tell every potential new model to wait a month or two to grow in pubes, that you could lose him forever. One must indeed strike while the iron is hot. Or you lose out completely and possibly pour good money down the drain. In Antonio's case I'm glad they told him to grow in some pubes before he did more filming.

I too love Chaos Men for that same reason. Of note, I was watching a scene somewhere from Theguysite. I don't really look at much stuff from them but most of their models are natural in their appearances. There was one scene where apparently one guy was returning for a second shoot with a partner. When he undressed, the producer said, "You shaved!" The model then asked, "Is that bad?" The producer responded by saying, "Yes, we want our men to be natural."

The way I look at it, it took me years to reach puberty and grow my pubes. Why on earth would I want to shave them off.

Humans have altered this planet beyond repair (my view). From concrete, deforestation, herbicides, fences blocking migration, sewage pumped into rivers, etc. etc.,
Now we are altering our bodies. Was there a design mistake in the beginning when pubic hair was part of the deal? It is there for reasons, many unknown, not the least of which is hygiene.
I realize many, if not most, models do grow their pubes once retained by Broke Straight Boys
Let's get back to "natural" in all aspects of our lives. Save the planet and the wildlife.

Just saying..I go to one of the Gayest Gyms in San Francisco. Please not gay in a bad way. Just about the most beautiful boy's you have ever seen.
And I Look. It seems the very young are shaved. The real beauty's over 26.( that is young too)
But you know what I mean the guy's that got it together appearance wise are nicely trimmed. No razor burns.
But that is in the Castro in San Francisco where there are now many salons that do just that.Trim, shave,pluck and peel.
It has become a big business here in just the last year..Along with tats. But you can also tell these kids are not broke.
So I kinda think it is also a age thing..I think you just need to learn. Big bushes are out clean and ((trim)) is in. Shaved is out.
Just a opinion from a guy that Always has his eyes open. LOL

I can't really understand the whole puberty thing being not in the baby boomer generation. While the porn of hairy men from the 70's does not arouse me but manscaping is normal with straight and gay guys today. I mean if you want your girl to shave her vaginal area shouldn't men be willing to do the same. I mean a nice trimmed pubes are nice but hairy out of control no thanks.

Indeed, thank you Betu for copying Bryce's statement from the comment page as I too only read that sporadically, whereas I read this forum like the Talmud, lol. But Bryce does confirm what I've been saying whenever the issue of totally shaved pubes comes up, that this is the way that young real straight guys groom today in 2014 going on 2015, and if we are to believe the fantasy that these are real straight guys coming in to film, then we can't ask them to not shave for a few weeks to look good for the older generation who are the prime demographics for porn sites, as Bartly mentioned on another similar thread.

If they become veterans of the scene as Tyler and Ian are, and of course Damien and Paul, then it is reasonable to ask them to "groom" for us. But when a newbie like Brody or Zak show up shaved, I appreciate that they seem like the real deal, and not an actor groomed to appeal to guys my age.

That's an interesting observation johnny, that even in the heart of the gayest neighborhood in America, in the Castro, even the very young gay guys are fully shaved, confirming that this is the look among the young males today.

Personally I'm not opposed to manscaping or trimming at all. I prefer to see a mostly trimmed or even shaved scrotum but with a nice neatly trimmed bush above the base. A hairy and out of control bush on a guy is not my preference either. haha

The models have the choice to have long or short hair, shaved chests, stomachs, balls, armpits, or legs.
Some say Dimitri should shave his ass. There are the ones that have natural pubes that satisfies the ones that like that. There are the trimmed ones that satisfies the ones that like that. Some chose to shave that satisfies the ones of us who like that and you tell them no.That's not right for them or us. is everyone supposed to not like the shaved pubes. Think about how unfair you are being here. Everyone should have the right to shave or not shave anywhere.
