Posting photos of yourself...

Have you guys shared pics of yourself here or in other places? How do you feel about it? I already shared pics of myself on dating sites (even if I never know which ones to post) and on othe places of myself with celebs.
I'm always hesitent in posting pics of myself. Have you guys made a thread about this before?

I thought about it before I changed my avatar to this wonderful photo of Blake and myself. But I have always been very open and willing to share myself, so I figured it was no biggie. I do however wonder if we have any "celebrity" forumites out there; I could see how they would want to remain "undercover."

That's a tough question, Milla. Unfortunately, it's human nature for people to judge others by the way they look so by staying picture free it allows posters to be judged on their comments only. But I think the main reason very few Forumite's display their picture is because of the things we discuss, which at times can be deeply personal. By staying anonymous, if your sister's friend's ex-husband is a member and gay, then no one has to know and there's no embarrassment or worse...

We have the hottest models posting their pics, and most members do not feel challenged enough to compete : -)

As characters in book, immaterial spirits... grammar and choice of words do tell a lot, and somehow I form a mental image of the people, who's face I've not seen.

How you see yourself is SO much more important than how we see you! As you can see from my picture, I am a normal looking person. But to get to know me is to love me...I have a really good heart and am fun to be with; those are the things that will last long after the looks have faded. You should post photos if you want to, but there will be no judgment from me, I already think you are beautiful!

When I first joined here I had seen that some people had pics of themselves posted and I was going to post a pic of myself but it didn't give me the option. I don't know how to do it so I haven't. I have lots of pics of myself on my other sites and many of them are naughty pics. I'm not looking to meet a partner or boyfriend I'm just looking for fun. I like being single so I'm just looking for fun so I post the kind of pics that will get the attention of another guy who also wants to have fun. I think in a place like this some people will make assumptions about us from our pic.
