Note to Staff re: Streaming. . .

Hi, Mark, Johnny, and tech staff -

This relates to no model in particular - just to streaming capacity on the site. Over the last couple of weeks, streaming on both Broke Straight Boys and College Dudes has been very unreliable. (Jumping and halting, in various places.) I was wondering if this might have been a personal computer issue of mine, but I (having had no issues before) tuned up my PC and did all the requisite "fixes" to eliminate processes that might overuse bandwidth - but still, streaming videos on Broke Straight Boys and College Dudes have lapses.

I have had no issues of this kind on any other site, or on the HSBoys sites offered as ancillary to Broke Straight Boys So, I am wondering if it is a Broke Straight Boys server issue.

Sorry to raise this as an issue, from time to time - as I know I have done so a couple of times, in the past :-((( But, for the most part, in my history on Broke Straight Boys and College Dudes, your streaming is FLAWLESS. And this is a key reason to have and KEEP both sites as recurrent memberships. If the streaming is great, it enables me to store less stuff on my computer, and keeps my computer living LONGER (because better able to cope with technological updates, and anti-virus checks).

It is really awesome to just check in and see the videos you want, without having to download and SAVE them. However, if there are long pauses in video-streaming, it kind of ruins the MOOD, as you might well understand!

So I hope you will have a little look at streaming capacity and performance from a site perspective, soon. You guys are the best in this regard, and I am sorry to trouble you with it! But it is a BIG helpful feature of BluMedia sites, for me.

There is only a handful that have mentioned streaming issues over the last few months. That I can see we don't have any issues with our content delivery servers (CDN). These are the servers we have around the world just for delivering our videos and photos. The best option is to send a support ticket (top right link on each of our pages called "Support Center") there are many different reasons there could be streaming issues and everyone's issues are going to be different to troubleshoot.

We would know if it was a Broke Straight Boys server issue because thousands of tickets would show issues with playback and we receive tech alerts. Most likely its a web browser or speed of internet issue, I will gladly help you have have our programmers double check there are no issues with our CDN. I have just sent you a PM to help further.

I've been having the same issue, I also thought it was my computer but I'm not having this problem on any other site either. I do use firefox so I thought I'd try chrome and see if it streamed smoothly on there. I hate to contact those IT depts. they always talk to me like I'm an idiot and tell me the same thing, clear your cache and history and .... Whenever I have a problem that's the first thing I do.
