Does not Matt look more than a bit like present day Mikey?
I think there's a little bit of a resemblance. Yes.
This lead-in may sound strange and totally off topic. But bear with me because it does have a point and ties in with this thread.
I myself am part Cherokee by ethnicity. Along with a good dose of Italian from my great grandmother's side. My Native side is pretty diluted though. I don't look it very much other than having darker hair and somewhat higher cheekbones. I have an uncle though who is my mother's step-brother. He is much more Cherokee than my mother and I are, and has the stronger features to show it. He married my aunt who is heavily Italian and Polish. Anyway, their kids (my cousins) are just a beautiful blend of Cherokee and Italian. Dark hair, dark eyes, slightly olive complexion, handsome faces on the guys, beautiful faces on the women, etc. It's one of those families who even as they keep reproducing into the next generations, you say things like, "Dang. They sure make some beautiful babies, don't they?" So every family gathering and family holiday from very young I've been quite used to seeing lots of my Cherokee blended family.
Even from when I first watched
Cousin Mikey performing with his own real life cousin "
Anthony Torn" here on
Broke Straight Boys, I was picking up on a strong Native vibe from both of them.

For those of you who wonder how Mikey was introduced to us as "
Cousin Mikey" instead of just Mike or Mikey, it's because one of the first scenes he did here was filmed with his own cousin. Anthony apparently had joined the site first. Otherwise he might have been the one named "Cousin Anthony". haha
Fast forward to (the now late) Parliament House in Orlando Florida. I get to meet Mikey in person at a
Broke Straight Boys event for Gay Days weekend. It was wonderful meeting him. Great guy! In a hilarious turn of events Mikey's mother was there too. That was a hoot! haha She, being Mikey's mom, was beautiful of course! Dark hair, dark eyes, olive complexion. Then I see her and Mikey standing together and I'm just taken back to my own extended family and how much they totally resemble my aunts and many cousins. I finally asked Mikey's mom about it. Without tipping my hand and feeding her the answer that I already strongly suspected...I asked her what the family ethnicity was. Without skipping a beat she said, "Cherokee and Italian." Haha
So long story short,
Cousin Mikey is part Native and part Italian.
