Thank you again David for taking time on your day off from work to explain to members the realities of filming porn. You’re coming on to the forum to explain and discuss scenes, models and issues with us has always been great, going back to the early days of the forum when you were filming the classic boys on
Broke Straight Boys-1.
On a separate but related issue I would like to make members aware that
Broke Straight Boys and BluMedia are an independent company, while many porn companies are owned by a multi-national corporation called MindGeek. You can read about it here on Wikipedia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouPorn
In part the articles says, “ MindGeek (formerly Manwin) is a privately held Canadian company[8] that primarily focuses on pornography.[1] It is owned by Feras Antoon, Bernd Bergmair (Bernard Bergemar), David Marmorstein and newly Leonardo DaSilva[4][9] and operates many popular pornographic websites,[10] including video sharing services Pornhub, RedTube, and YouPorn, as well as adult film production companies Brazzers, Digital Playground,
Men.com, Reality Kings,
Sean Cody, and WhyNotBi.com, among others.[11] MindGeek is headquartered in Luxembourg, and maintains additional offices in Bucharest, Dublin, London, Los Angeles, and Montreal.[12][13] A spokesperson for the company stated that they are "one of the top five bandwidth consumption companies in the world".
And so I believe that it is like comparing apples to oranges comparing
Broke Straight Boys to sites like
Men.com, Reality Kings and
Sean Cody”. And in the close to 14 years I’ve been a member of
Broke Straight Boys, my monthly subscription cost has never gone up, but instead lowered. And further we have the forum. I don’t think the other sites offer us a place to discuss whatever we want about the site, as well as discussions of politics, pop culture, news and the ability to post endless threads of pictures or whatever else tickles our fancy.
I am largely not a fan of the current porn, and crave for the “good old days”, when David had the ability to hire basically guys off the street with no experience with porn or in many cases gay sex, and to watch the progression episode by episode as they either got more comfortable with gay sex on film or not. So while today’s porn is not usually a big turn-on. And I of course loved having three updates a week, so while it is not what is was, I still support the site and ownership and the production team of David & Eddie. If
Broke Straight Boys and the forum disappear one day, we regular “forumites” will sure miss a place to express our voice and the opportunity to post as many pictures as we like all day long, every day of the year. Long live
Broke Straight Boys!!!
