Hi Mike, you are correct and Mark had asked us to no longer have the guys vape on set during the interview portion. Like you, I thought it added a sense of their real self and it shows there nervousness to doing the scene.

I know smoking generally is unhealthy, but it's not my place to tell a model if they can smoke or not, but totally understand when Mark requested the boys not vaping on set during the interview. We have lots of models from the past that would smoke cigarettes, and I wouldn't allow that on set, but vaping for me (although just as unhealthy) was not as offensive as cigarettes. So going forward with recent filming, I don't have those models vaping on set during the interview process. Unless I am told differently about Vaping, there will be no vaping on set during the interview scene.

In terms of smell and how it affects my own breathing as a third party, vaping is way less awful. Again, I'm not offended or anything, just sad, and worried that there's a belief it's safe.

I agree Treb. I just looked up statistics. In 2005, 20.9% of adults in the United States smoked cigarettes. In 2021 it dropped to 11.5%. But that is still over 28 million. I don’t think that a Broke Straight Boys interview is going to influence or change anyone‘s decision to smoke. And like you, vaping doesn’t affect me as a bypasser the same way cigarette smoke does, so for David & Eddie and the fellow models or crew on set, to me it’s a non-issue. As far as risk taking and living a less than ideal lifestyle for guys who fuck on camera for pay, I would think vaping isn’t the biggest issue in their lives, but that’s just me……

I still am looking forward to watching Colton fucking JJ later but at the same time I wouldn’t encourage a nephew or a young guy who I know personally to get into porn. But as far as I’m concerned, each young man can make his own decision regarding sex for pay, smoking or vaping.

It may not be the biggest issue in their lives, but it is an issue. I also don't think you ignore issues because they aren't the worst. And if JJ is so desperate for money, having an addiction to an unnecessary substance is probably not helping. When I was growing up, we were very poor. My mom was a pack a day smoker and that adds up, so I know. I don't have any idea of the cost of vape fuel, so I won't estimate what impact it has, but I would think it's probably significant.

I'll be a little transparent here, and admit that to an extent, vaping triggers me. It looks a lot like smoking. My mother died, suffocating from the damage to her lungs from 30 years of smoking after I failed to revive her with CPR. That said, I don't expect the world to revolve around my PTSD. If JJ is for some reason reading this, I hope he understands it's not a question of condemning him or anyone else.

Now that I have some experience as my cherry was killed recently, I'm shocked Colton was able to get in there as much as he was. It was a very good scene. For a while I was concerned that JJ was in genuine pain and that would not be a good thing. No one needs to be fucked if they don’t enjoy it. But by the end he seemed to figuratively and literally “get off” to it. I am very curious as to what is said during the after scene. But I did give fives all around.
