I think the ratings say it all. This is one of the most boring solos I've ever watched. He really seemed like he didn't want to be there and it shows I watched 7 minutes then dozed off. The score so far is 2.3 I think we all know what's next.

As I do before I comment on a solo scene, I state that I am definitely not a big fan of solos, BUT there are exceptions, e.g. Kurt, Colin, Chad here on Broke Straight Boys and Tom Faulk over at cdudes.
I also want to add that after I joined both sites, it didn't take me too long to realize that I shouldn't read the scene synopses before I watch the scene, but after. Why? Because here on Broke Straight Boys they tend to be written in a way that raises my expectations for the scene and more often than not, I end up being disappointed. I don't know who writes these summaries, I had assumed Clay, but I wonder because sometimes there seems to be a disconnect between what I watched and what was written. Now admittedly the quality of something, in this case porn, is in the eye of the beholder.
Here are some quotes from the summary for this scene and my reaction:
"Jake is ready to give the Broke Straight Boys members a show they can remember."
Well that's true, I remember how this was the most boring solo I've seen in a long time.
"Jake readily admits he's a quiet guy and that it's just his nature."
Well that's true and I have to take him at his word that it's his nature. He surely didn't do anything to dispel that. Given that, I wouldn't expect the passage of time to suddenly transform him into an outgoing personality.
"Jake did a great solo for his first time in front of a camera..."
Well, this was anything but a great solo and I don't think being in front of a camera had anything to do with it. Clay indicated that it took some hard convincing to get Jake to do this and that he had backed out once before. If his story is to be believed then I think his personal situation had gotten so desperate this was his one way to make some quick cash, but his heart really wasn't into it.
"...and I'm sure he will be back in the studio in no time at all."
Nothing personal, Jake, but I hope not. There are some jobs for which people are not well suited and I think that applies to you and gay porn.
